وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَعْدَآئِكُمْۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ نَصِيرًا 45
مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ وَيَقُولُونَ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَٱسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍ وَرَٲعِنَا لَيَّۢا بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ وَطَعْنًا فِى ٱلدِّينِۚ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُواْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَٱسْمَعْ وَٱنظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَأَقْوَمَ وَلَـٰكِن لَّعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلاً 46
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ءَامِنُواْ بِمَا نَزَّلْنَا مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّطْمِسَ وُجُوهًا فَنَرُدَّهَا عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِهَآ أَوْ نَلْعَنَهُمْ كَمَا لَعَنَّآ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلسَّبْتِۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ مَفْعُولاً 47
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٲلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُۚ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱفْتَرَىٰٓ إِثْمًا عَظِيمًا 48
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُزَكُّونَ أَنفُسَهُمۚ بَلِ ٱللَّهُ يُزَكِّى مَن يَشَآءُ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلاً 49
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَۖ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦٓ إِثْمًا مُّبِينًا 50
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ نَصِيبًا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْجِبْتِ وَٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ وَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَهْدَىٰ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ سَبِيلاً 51
وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahأَعْلَمُaʿlamuknows betterبِأَعْدَآئِكُمْ ۚbi-aʿdāikumabout your enemiesوَكَفَىٰwakafāand (is) sufficientبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiAllahوَلِيًّۭاwaliyyan(as) a Protectorوَكَفَىٰwakafāand sufficientبِٱللَّهِbil-lahi(is) Allahنَصِيرًۭاnaṣīran(as) a Helper
4:45
مِّنَminaOfٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoهَادُوا۟hādūare Jewsيُحَرِّفُونَyuḥarrifūnathey distortٱلْكَلِمَl-kalimathe wordsعَنʿanfromمَّوَاضِعِهِۦmawāḍiʿihitheir placesوَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaand they sayسَمِعْنَاsamiʿ'nāWe hear[d]وَعَصَيْنَاwaʿaṣaynāand we disobey[ed]وَٱسْمَعْwa-is'maʿand "Hearغَيْرَghayranotمُسْمَعٍۢmus'maʿinto be heardوَرَٰعِنَاwarāʿināand "Rainaلَيًّۢاlayyantwistingبِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْbi-alsinatihim[with] their tonguesوَطَعْنًۭاwaṭaʿnanand defamingفِىfī[in]ٱلدِّينِ ۚl-dīnithe religionوَلَوْwalawAnd ifأَنَّهُمْannahum[that] theyقَالُوا۟qālū(had) saidسَمِعْنَاsamiʿ'nāWe hear[d]وَأَطَعْنَاwa-aṭaʿnāand we obey[ed]وَٱسْمَعْwa-is'maʿand "Hearوَٱنظُرْنَاwa-unẓur'nāand look (at) usلَكَانَlakānasurely it (would) have beenخَيْرًۭاkhayranbetterلَّهُمْlahumfor themوَأَقْوَمَwa-aqwamaand more suitableوَلَـٰكِنwalākin[And] butلَّعَنَهُمُlaʿanahumucursed themٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahبِكُفْرِهِمْbikuf'rihimfor their disbeliefفَلَاfalāso notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnathey believeإِلَّاillāexceptقَلِيلًۭاqalīlana few
4:46
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO youٱلَّذِينَalladhīnawhoأُوتُوا۟ūtū(have) been givenٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe Bookءَامِنُوا۟āminūbelieveبِمَاbimāin whatنَزَّلْنَاnazzalnāWe (have) revealedمُصَدِّقًۭاmuṣaddiqanconfirmingلِّمَاlimāwhat isمَعَكُمmaʿakumwith youمِّنminfromقَبْلِqablibeforeأَنan[that]نَّطْمِسَnaṭmisaWe effaceوُجُوهًۭاwujūhanfacesفَنَرُدَّهَاfanaruddahāand turn themعَلَىٰٓʿalāonأَدْبَارِهَآadbārihātheir backsأَوْaworنَلْعَنَهُمْnalʿanahumWe curse themكَمَاkamāasلَعَنَّآlaʿannāWe cursedأَصْحَـٰبَaṣḥābacompanionsٱلسَّبْتِ ۚl-sabti(of) the SabbathوَكَانَwakānaAnd isأَمْرُamru(the) commandٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahمَفْعُولًاmafʿūlan(always) executed
4:47
إِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَاlā(does) notيَغْفِرُyaghfiruforgiveأَنanthatيُشْرَكَyush'rakapartners be associatedبِهِۦbihiwith Himوَيَغْفِرُwayaghfirubut He forgivesمَاmāfromدُونَdūnaother thanذَٰلِكَdhālikathatلِمَنlimanfor whomيَشَآءُ ۚyashāuHe willsوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverيُشْرِكْyush'rikassociates partnersبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiwith Allahفَقَدِfaqadithen surelyٱفْتَرَىٰٓif'tarāhe has fabricatedإِثْمًاith'mana sin عَظِيمًاʿaẓīmantremendous
4:48
أَلَمْalamDo notتَرَtarayou seeإِلَىilā[towards]ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيُزَكُّونَyuzakkūnaclaim purityأَنفُسَهُم ۚanfusahum(for) themselvesبَلِbaliNayٱللَّهُl-lahu(it is) AllahيُزَكِّىyuzakkīHe purifiesمَنmanwhomيَشَآءُyashāuHe willsوَلَاwalāand notيُظْلَمُونَyuẓ'lamūnathey will be wrongedفَتِيلًاfatīlan(even as much as) a hair on a date-seed
4:49
ٱنظُرْunẓurSeeكَيْفَkayfahowيَفْتَرُونَyaftarūnathey inventعَلَىʿalāaboutٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahٱلْكَذِبَ ۖl-kadhiba[the] lieوَكَفَىٰwakafāand sufficientبِهِۦٓbihiis it إِثْمًۭاith'man(as) a sinمُّبِينًاmubīnanmanifest
4:50
أَلَمْalamDo notتَرَtarayou seeإِلَىilā[towards]ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoأُوتُوا۟ūtūwere givenنَصِيبًۭاnaṣībana portionمِّنَminaofٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābithe Bookيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnaThey believeبِٱلْجِبْتِbil-jib'tiin the superstitionوَٱلطَّـٰغُوتِwal-ṭāghūtiand the false deitiesوَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaand they sayلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnafor those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelieve[d]هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِhāulāiTheseأَهْدَىٰahdā(are) better guidedمِنَminathanٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieve[d]سَبِيلًاsabīlan(as to the) way
4:51
