Al-Jumu'a · Surah 62
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْمَلِكِ ٱلْقُدُّوسِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ 1
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ فِى ٱلْأُمِّيِّــۧنَ رَسُولاً مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُواْ مِن قَبْلُ لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ 2
وَءَاخَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُواْ بِهِمْۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ 3
ذَٲلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ 4
مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ حُمِّلُواْ ٱلتَّوْرَٮٰةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ ٱلْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ أَسْفَارَۢاۚ بِئْسَ مَثَلُ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ 5
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوٓاْ إِن زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ لِلَّهِ مِن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُاْ ٱلْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ 6
وَلَا يَتَمَنَّوْنَهُۥٓ أَبَدَۢا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ 7
قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْمَوْتَ ٱلَّذِى تَفِرُّونَ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مُلَـٰقِيكُمْۖ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَـٰلِمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ 8
يُسَبِّحُyusabbiḥuGlorifiesلِلَّهِlillahiAllahمَاmāwhateverفِىfī(is) inٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَمَاwamāand whateverفِىfī(is) inٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthٱلْمَلِكِl-malikithe Sovereignٱلْقُدُّوسِl-qudūsithe Holyٱلْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzithe All-Mightyٱلْحَكِيمِl-ḥakīmithe All-Wise
62:1
هُوَhuwaHeٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Whoبَعَثَbaʿathasentفِىfīamongٱلْأُمِّيِّـۧنَl-umiyīnathe unletteredرَسُولًۭاrasūlana Messengerمِّنْهُمْmin'humfrom themselvesيَتْلُوا۟yatlūrecitingعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themءَايَـٰتِهِۦāyātihiHis Versesوَيُزَكِّيهِمْwayuzakkīhimand purifying themوَيُعَلِّمُهُمُwayuʿallimuhumuand teaching themٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe Bookوَٱلْحِكْمَةَwal-ḥik'mataand the wisdomوَإِنwa-inalthoughكَانُوا۟kānūthey wereمِنminfromقَبْلُqablubeforeلَفِىlafīsurely inضَلَـٰلٍۢḍalālinan errorمُّبِينٍۢmubīninclear
62:2
وَءَاخَرِينَwaākharīnaAnd othersمِنْهُمْmin'humamong themلَمَّاlammāwho have not yetيَلْحَقُوا۟yalḥaqūjoinedبِهِمْ ۚbihimthemوَهُوَwahuwaand Heٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʿazīzu(is) the All-Mightyٱلْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmuthe All-Wise
62:3
ذَٰلِكَdhālikaThatفَضْلُfaḍlu(is the) Bountyٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahيُؤْتِيهِyu'tīhiHe gives itمَنman(to) whomيَشَآءُ ۚyashāuHe willsوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahذُوdhū(is the) Possessorٱلْفَضْلِl-faḍli(of) Bountyٱلْعَظِيمِl-ʿaẓīmithe Great
62:4
مَثَلُmathalu(The) likenessٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoحُمِّلُوا۟ḥummilūwere entrustedٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَl-tawrāta(with) the Tauratثُمَّthummathenلَمْlamnotيَحْمِلُوهَاyaḥmilūhāthey bore itكَمَثَلِkamathali(is) likeٱلْحِمَارِl-ḥimārithe donkeyيَحْمِلُyaḥmiluwho carriesأَسْفَارًۢا ۚasfāranbooksبِئْسَbi'saWretched isمَثَلُmathalu(the) exampleٱلْقَوْمِl-qawmi(of) the peopleٱلَّذِينَalladhīnawhoكَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūdenyبِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyāti(the) Signsٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi(of) Allahوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahلَاlā(does) notيَهْدِىyahdīguideٱلْقَوْمَl-qawmathe peopleٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَl-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
62:5
قُلْqulSayيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāOٱلَّذِينَalladhīnayou (who)هَادُوٓا۟hādū(are) JewsإِنinIfزَعَمْتُمْzaʿamtumyou claimأَنَّكُمْannakumthat youأَوْلِيَآءُawliyāu(are) alliesلِلَّهِlillahiof Allahمِنminfromدُونِdūniexcludingٱلنَّاسِl-nāsithe peopleفَتَمَنَّوُا۟fatamannawūthen wishٱلْمَوْتَl-mawta(for) the deathإِنinifكُنتُمْkuntumyou areصَـٰدِقِينَṣādiqīnatruthful
62:6
وَلَاwalāBut notيَتَمَنَّوْنَهُۥٓyatamannawnahuthey will wish for itأَبَدًۢاabadaneverبِمَاbimāfor whatقَدَّمَتْqaddamat(have) sent forthأَيْدِيهِمْ ۚaydīhimtheir handsوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَلِيمٌۢʿalīmun(is) All-Knowingبِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَbil-ẓālimīnaof the wrongdoers
62:7
قُلْqulSayإِنَّinnaIndeedٱلْمَوْتَl-mawtathe deathٱلَّذِىalladhīwhichتَفِرُّونَtafirrūnayou fleeمِنْهُmin'hufrom itفَإِنَّهُۥfa-innahuthen surely itمُلَـٰقِيكُمْ ۖmulāqīkum(will) meet youثُمَّthummaThenتُرَدُّونَturaddūnayou will be sent backإِلَىٰilātoعَـٰلِمِʿālimi(the) All-Knowerٱلْغَيْبِl-ghaybi(of) the unseenوَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِwal-shahādatiand the witnessedفَيُنَبِّئُكُمfayunabbi-ukumand He will inform youبِمَاbimā[of] whatكُنتُمْkuntumyou used toتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnado
62:8
