وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ذَرُونِىٓ أَقْتُلْ مُوسَىٰ وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُۥٓۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَن يُظْهِرَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْفَسَادَ 26
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنِّى عُذْتُ بِرَبِّى وَرَبِّكُم مِّن كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ 27
وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مُّؤْمِنٌ مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَكْتُمُ إِيمَـٰنَهُۥٓ أَتَقْتُلُونَ رَجُلاً أَن يَقُولَ رَبِّىَ ٱللَّهُ وَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ مِن رَّبِّكُمْۖ وَإِن يَكُ كَـٰذِبًا فَعَلَيْهِ كَذِبُهُۥۖ وَإِن يَكُ صَادِقًا يُصِبْكُم بَعْضُ ٱلَّذِى يَعِدُكُمْۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ كَذَّابٌ 28
يَـٰقَوْمِ لَكُمُ ٱلْمُلْكُ ٱلْيَوْمَ ظَـٰهِرِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَمَن يَنصُرُنَا مِنۢ بَأْسِ ٱللَّهِ إِن جَآءَنَاۚ قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ مَآ أُرِيكُمْ إِلَّا مَآ أَرَىٰ وَمَآ أَهْدِيكُمْ إِلَّا سَبِيلَ ٱلرَّشَادِ 29
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنَ يَـٰقَوْمِ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُم مِّثْلَ يَوْمِ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ 30
مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْۚ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعِبَادِ 31
وَيَـٰقَوْمِ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلتَّنَادِ 32
يَوْمَ تُوَلُّونَ مُدْبِرِينَ مَا لَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍۗ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْ هَادٍ 33
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidفِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnuFiraunذَرُونِىٓdharūnīLeave meأَقْتُلْaqtul(so that) I killمُوسَىٰmūsāMusaوَلْيَدْعُwalyadʿuand let him callرَبَّهُۥٓ ۖrabbahuhis LordإِنِّىٓinnīIndeed, Iأَخَافُakhāfu[I] fearأَنanthatيُبَدِّلَyubaddilahe will changeدِينَكُمْdīnakumyour religionأَوْaworأَنanthatيُظْهِرَyuẓ'hirahe may cause to appearفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe landٱلْفَسَادَl-fasādathe corruption
40:26
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidمُوسَىٰٓmūsāMusaإِنِّىinnīIndeed, Iعُذْتُʿudh'tu[I] seek refugeبِرَبِّىbirabbīin my Lordوَرَبِّكُمwarabbikumand your Lordمِّنminfromكُلِّkullieveryمُتَكَبِّرٍۢmutakabbirinarrogant oneلَّاlānotيُؤْمِنُyu'minuwho believesبِيَوْمِbiyawmi(in the) Dayٱلْحِسَابِl-ḥisābi(of) the Account
40:27
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidرَجُلٌۭrajuluna manمُّؤْمِنٌۭmu'minunbelievingمِّنْminfromءَالِāli(the) familyفِرْعَوْنَfir'ʿawna(of) Firaunيَكْتُمُyaktumuwho conceal(ed)إِيمَـٰنَهُۥٓīmānahuhis faithأَتَقْتُلُونَataqtulūnaWill you killرَجُلًاrajulana manأَنanbecauseيَقُولَyaqūlahe saysرَبِّىَrabbiyaMy Lordٱللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allahوَقَدْwaqadand indeedجَآءَكُمjāakumhe has brought youبِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِbil-bayināticlear proofsمِنminfromرَّبِّكُمْ ۖrabbikumyour Lordوَإِنwa-inAnd ifيَكُyakuhe isكَـٰذِبًۭاkādhibana liarفَعَلَيْهِfaʿalayhithen upon himكَذِبُهُۥ ۖkadhibuhu(is) his lieوَإِنwa-inand ifيَكُyakuhe isصَادِقًۭاṣādiqantruthfulيُصِبْكُمyuṣib'kum(there) will strike youبَعْضُbaʿḍusome (of)ٱلَّذِىalladhī(that) whichيَعِدُكُمْ ۖyaʿidukumhe threatens youإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَاlā(does) notيَهْدِىyahdīguideمَنْman(one) whoهُوَhuwa[he]مُسْرِفٌۭmus'rifun(is) a transgressorكَذَّابٌۭkadhābuna liar
40:28
يَـٰقَوْمِyāqawmiO my peopleلَكُمُlakumuFor youٱلْمُلْكُl-mul'ku(is) the kingdomٱلْيَوْمَl-yawmatodayظَـٰهِرِينَẓāhirīnadominantفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe landفَمَنfamanbut whoيَنصُرُنَاyanṣurunāwill help usمِنۢminfromبَأْسِbasi(the) punishmentٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahإِنinifجَآءَنَا ۚjāanāit came to usقَالَqālaSaidفِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnuFiraunمَآmāNotأُرِيكُمْurīkumI show youإِلَّاillāexceptمَآmāwhatأَرَىٰarāI seeوَمَآwamāand notأَهْدِيكُمْahdīkumI guide youإِلَّاillāexceptسَبِيلَsabīla(to the) pathٱلرَّشَادِl-rashādithe right
40:29
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidٱلَّذِىٓalladhī(he) whoءَامَنَāmanabelievedيَـٰقَوْمِyāqawmiO my peopleإِنِّىٓinnīIndeed Iأَخَافُakhāfu[I] fearعَلَيْكُمʿalaykumfor youمِّثْلَmith'lalikeيَوْمِyawmi(the) dayٱلْأَحْزَابِl-aḥzābi(of) the companies
40:30
مِثْلَmith'laLikeدَأْبِdabi(the) plightقَوْمِqawmi(of the) peopleنُوحٍۢnūḥin(of) Nuhوَعَادٍۢwaʿādinand Aadوَثَمُودَwathamūdaand Thamudوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand thoseمِنۢminafter themبَعْدِهِمْ ۚbaʿdihimafter themوَمَاwamāAnd Allah (does) notٱللَّهُl-lahuAnd Allah (does) notيُرِيدُyurīduwantظُلْمًۭاẓul'maninjusticeلِّلْعِبَادِlil'ʿibādifor (His) slaves
40:31
وَيَـٰقَوْمِwayāqawmiAnd O my peopleإِنِّىٓinnīIndeed, Iأَخَافُakhāfu[I] fearعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumfor youيَوْمَyawma(the) Dayٱلتَّنَادِl-tanādi(of) Calling
40:32
يَوْمَyawmaA Dayتُوَلُّونَtuwallūnayou will turn backمُدْبِرِينَmud'birīnafleeingمَاmānotلَكُمlakumfor youمِّنَminafromٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahمِنْminanyعَاصِمٍۢ ۗʿāṣiminprotectorوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverيُضْلِلِyuḍ'liliAllah lets go astrayٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah lets go astrayفَمَاfamāthen notلَهُۥlahufor himمِنْminanyهَادٍۢhādinguide
40:33
