وَمَآ أَنفَقْتُم مِّن نَّفَقَةٍ أَوْ نَذَرْتُم مِّن نَّذْرٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُهُۥۗ وَمَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ 270
إِن تُبْدُواْ ٱلصَّدَقَـٰتِ فَنِعِمَّا هِىَۖ وَإِن تُخْفُوهَا وَتُؤْتُوهَا ٱلْفُقَرَآءَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْۚ وَيُكَفِّرُ عَنكُم مِّن سَيِّـَٔـاتِكُمْۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ 271
۞ لَّيْسَ عَلَيْكَ هُدَٮٰهُمْ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُۗ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَلِأَنفُسِكُمْۚ وَمَا تُنفِقُونَ إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ 272
لِلْفُقَرَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أُحْصِرُواْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ضَرْبًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَحْسَبُهُمُ ٱلْجَاهِلُ أَغْنِيَآءَ مِنَ ٱلتَّعَفُّفِ تَعْرِفُهُم بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ لَا يَسْــَٔلُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ إِلْحَافًاۗ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٌ 273
ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٲلَهُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ 274
وَمَآwamāAnd whateverأَنفَقْتُمanfaqtumyou spendمِّنmin(out) ofنَّفَقَةٍnafaqatin(your) expendituresأَوْaworنَذَرْتُمnadhartumyou vowمِّنminofنَّذْرٍۢnadhrinvow(s)فَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahيَعْلَمُهُۥ ۗyaʿlamuhuknows itوَمَاwamāand notلِلظَّـٰلِمِينَlilẓẓālimīnafor the wrongdoersمِنْminanyأَنصَارٍanṣārinhelpers
2:270
إِنinIfتُبْدُوا۟tub'dūyou discloseٱلصَّدَقَـٰتِl-ṣadaqātithe charitiesفَنِعِمَّاfaniʿimmāthen goodهِىَ ۖhiyait (is)وَإِنwa-inBut ifتُخْفُوهَاtukh'fūhāyou keep it secretوَتُؤْتُوهَاwatu'tūhāand give itٱلْفُقَرَآءَl-fuqarāa(to) the poorفَهُوَfahuwathen itخَيْرٌۭkhayrun(is) betterلَّكُمْ ۚlakumfor youوَيُكَفِّرُwayukaffiruAnd He will removeعَنكُمʿankumfrom youمِّنmin[of]سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ ۗsayyiātikumyour evil deedsوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبِمَاbimāwith whatتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou doخَبِيرٌۭkhabīrun(is) All-Aware
2:271
۞ لَّيْسَlaysaNotعَلَيْكَʿalaykaon youهُدَىٰهُمْhudāhum(is) their guidanceوَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinna[and] butٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahيَهْدِىyahdīguidesمَنmanwhomيَشَآءُ ۗyashāuHe willsوَمَاwamāAnd whateverتُنفِقُوا۟tunfiqūyou spendمِنْminofخَيْرٍۢkhayringoodفَلِأَنفُسِكُمْ ۚfali-anfusikumthen it is for yourselfوَمَاwamāand notتُنفِقُونَtunfiqūnayou spendإِلَّاillāexceptٱبْتِغَآءَib'tighāaseekingوَجْهِwajhi(the) faceٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi(of) AllahوَمَاwamāAnd whateverتُنفِقُوا۟tunfiqūyou spendمِنْminofخَيْرٍۢkhayringoodيُوَفَّyuwaffawill be repaid in fullإِلَيْكُمْilaykumto youوَأَنتُمْwa-antumand youلَاlā(will) notتُظْلَمُونَtuẓ'lamūnabe wronged
2:272
لِلْفُقَرَآءِlil'fuqarāiFor the poorٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoأُحْصِرُوا۟uḥ'ṣirūare wrapped upفِىfīinسَبِيلِsabīli(the) wayٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahلَاlānotيَسْتَطِيعُونَyastaṭīʿūnathey are ableضَرْبًۭاḍarban(to) move aboutفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthيَحْسَبُهُمُyaḥsabuhumuThink (about) themٱلْجَاهِلُl-jāhiluthe ignorant oneأَغْنِيَآءَaghniyāa(that they are) self-sufficientمِنَmina(because) ofٱلتَّعَفُّفِl-taʿafufi(their) restraintتَعْرِفُهُمtaʿrifuhumyou recognize themبِسِيمَـٰهُمْbisīmāhumby their markلَاlāNotيَسْـَٔلُونَyasalūna(do) they askٱلنَّاسَl-nāsathe peopleإِلْحَافًۭا ۗil'ḥāfanwith importunityوَمَاwamāAnd whateverتُنفِقُوا۟tunfiqūyou spendمِنْminofخَيْرٍۢkhayringoodفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahبِهِۦbihiof itعَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-Knower
2:273
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoيُنفِقُونَyunfiqūnaspendأَمْوَٰلَهُمamwālahumtheir wealthبِٱلَّيْلِbi-al-layliby nightوَٱلنَّهَارِwal-nahāriand dayسِرًّۭاsirransecretlyوَعَلَانِيَةًۭwaʿalāniyatanand openlyفَلَهُمْfalahumthen for themأَجْرُهُمْajruhum(is) their rewardعِندَʿindawithرَبِّهِمْrabbihimtheir Lordوَلَاwalāand noخَوْفٌkhawfunfearعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimon themوَلَاwalāand notهُمْhumtheyيَحْزَنُونَyaḥzanūnawill grieve
