وَأَنكِحُواْ ٱلْأَيَـٰمَىٰ مِنكُمْ وَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَآئِكُمْۚ إِن يَكُونُواْ فُقَرَآءَ يُغْنِهِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَٲسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ 32
وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّىٰ يُغْنِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًاۖ وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَـٰكُمْۚ وَلَا تُكْرِهُواْ فَتَيَـٰتِكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْبِغَآءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبْتَغُواْ عَرَضَ ٱلْحَيَوٲةِ ٱلدُّنْيَاۚ وَمَن يُكْرِههُّنَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِكْرَٲهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ 33
وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ ءَايَـٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنَـٰتٍ وَمَثَلاً مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ 34
۞ ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشْكَوٲةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌۖ ٱلْمِصْبَاحُ فِى زُجَاجَةٍۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّىٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَـٰرَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِىٓءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍۗ يَهْدِى ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ لِلنَّاسِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ 35
فِى بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ ٱللَّهُ أَن تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُۥ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ فِيهَا بِٱلْغُدُوِّ وَٱلْأَصَالِ 36
وَأَنكِحُوا۟wa-ankiḥūAnd marryٱلْأَيَـٰمَىٰl-ayāmāthe singleمِنكُمْminkumamong youوَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَwal-ṣāliḥīnaand the righteousمِنْminamongعِبَادِكُمْʿibādikumyour male slavesوَإِمَآئِكُمْ ۚwa-imāikumand your female slavesإِنinIfيَكُونُوا۟yakūnūthey areفُقَرَآءَfuqarāapoorيُغْنِهِمُyugh'nihimuAllah will enrich themٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah will enrich themمِنminfromفَضْلِهِۦ ۗfaḍlihiHis Bountyوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahوَٰسِعٌwāsiʿun(is) All-EncompassingعَلِيمٌۭʿalīmunAll-Knowing
24:32
وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِwalyastaʿfifiAnd let be chasteٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَاlā(do) notيَجِدُونَyajidūnafindنِكَاحًاnikāḥan(means for) marriageحَتَّىٰḥattāuntilيُغْنِيَهُمُyugh'niyahumuAllah enriches themٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah enriches themمِنminfromفَضْلِهِۦ ۗfaḍlihiHis Bountyوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoيَبْتَغُونَyabtaghūnaseekٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe writingمِمَّاmimmāfrom (those) whomمَلَكَتْmalakatpossessأَيْمَـٰنُكُمْaymānukumyour right handsفَكَاتِبُوهُمْfakātibūhumthen give them (the) writingإِنْinifعَلِمْتُمْʿalim'tumyou knowفِيهِمْfīhimin themخَيْرًۭا ۖkhayranany goodوَءَاتُوهُمwaātūhumand give themمِّنminfromمَّالِmālithe wealth of Allahٱللَّهِl-lahithe wealth of Allahٱلَّذِىٓalladhīwhichءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۚātākumHe has given youوَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتُكْرِهُوا۟tuk'rihūcompelفَتَيَـٰتِكُمْfatayātikumyour slave girlsعَلَىʿalātoٱلْبِغَآءِl-bighāi[the] prostitutionإِنْinifأَرَدْنَaradnathey desireتَحَصُّنًۭاtaḥaṣṣunanchastityلِّتَبْتَغُوا۟litabtaghūthat you may seekعَرَضَʿaraḍatemporary gainٱلْحَيَوٰةِl-ḥayati(of) the lifeٱلدُّنْيَا ۚl-dun'yā(of) the worldوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverيُكْرِههُّنَّyuk'rihhunnacompels themفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahمِنۢminafterبَعْدِbaʿdiafterإِكْرَٰهِهِنَّik'rāhihinnatheir compulsionغَفُورٌۭghafūrun(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌۭraḥīmunMost Merciful
24:33
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyأَنزَلْنَآanzalnāWe have sent downإِلَيْكُمْilaykumto youءَايَـٰتٍۢāyātinVersesمُّبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢmubayyinātinclearوَمَثَلًۭاwamathalanand an exampleمِّنَminaofٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoخَلَوْا۟khalawpassed awayمِنminbefore youقَبْلِكُمْqablikumbefore youوَمَوْعِظَةًۭwamawʿiẓatanand an admonitionلِّلْمُتَّقِينَlil'muttaqīnafor those who fear (Allah)
24:34
۞ ٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahنُورُnūru(is the) Lightٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚwal-arḍiand the earthمَثَلُmathalu(The) exampleنُورِهِۦnūrihi(of) His Lightكَمِشْكَوٰةٍۢkamish'katin(is) like a nicheفِيهَاfīhāin itمِصْبَاحٌ ۖmiṣ'bāḥun(is) a lampٱلْمِصْبَاحُl-miṣ'bāḥuthe lampفِىfī(is) inزُجَاجَةٍ ۖzujājatina glassٱلزُّجَاجَةُl-zujājatuthe glassكَأَنَّهَاka-annahāas if it wereكَوْكَبٌۭkawkabuna starدُرِّىٌّۭdurriyyunbrilliantيُوقَدُyūqadu(which) is litمِنminfromشَجَرَةٍۢshajaratina treeمُّبَـٰرَكَةٍۢmubārakatinblessed زَيْتُونَةٍۢzaytūnatinan oliveلَّاlānotشَرْقِيَّةٍۢsharqiyyatin(of the) eastوَلَاwalāand notغَرْبِيَّةٍۢgharbiyyatin(of the) westيَكَادُyakāduwould almostزَيْتُهَاzaytuhāits oilيُضِىٓءُyuḍīuglowوَلَوْwalaweven ifلَمْlamnotتَمْسَسْهُtamsashutouched itنَارٌۭ ۚnārunfireنُّورٌnūrunLightعَلَىٰʿalāuponنُورٍۢ ۗnūrinLightيَهْدِىyahdīAllah guidesٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah guidesلِنُورِهِۦlinūrihito His Lightمَنmanwhomيَشَآءُ ۚyashāuHe willsوَيَضْرِبُwayaḍribuAnd Allah sets forthٱللَّهُl-lahuAnd Allah sets forthٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَl-amthālathe examplesلِلنَّاسِ ۗlilnnāsifor the mankindوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبِكُلِّbikulliof everyشَىْءٍshayinthingعَلِيمٌۭʿalīmun(is) All-Knower
24:35
فِىfīInبُيُوتٍbuyūtinhousesأَذِنَadhina(which) Allah orderedٱللَّهُl-lahu(which) Allah orderedأَنanthatتُرْفَعَtur'faʿathey be raisedوَيُذْكَرَwayudh'karaand be mentionedفِيهَاfīhāin themٱسْمُهُۥus'muhuHis nameيُسَبِّحُyusabbiḥuGlorifyلَهُۥlahu[to] Himفِيهَاfīhāin themبِٱلْغُدُوِّbil-ghuduwiin the morningsوَٱلْـَٔاصَالِwal-āṣāliand (in) the evenings
24:36
