رِجَالٌ لَّا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَـٰرَةٌ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ ٱلصَّلَوٲةِ وَإِيتَآءِ ٱلزَّكَوٲةِۙ يَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ 37
لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ 38
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ كَسَرَابِۭ بِقِيعَةٍ يَحْسَبُهُ ٱلظَّمْـَٔـانُ مَآءً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَهُۥ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْــًٔا وَوَجَدَ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ فَوَفَّـٰهُ حِسَابَهُۥۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ 39
أَوْ كَظُلُمَـٰتٍ فِى بَحْرٍ لُّجِّىٍّ يَغْشَـٰهُ مَوْجٌ مِّن فَوْقِهِۦ مَوْجٌ مِّن فَوْقِهِۦ سَحَابٌۚ ظُلُمَـٰتُۢ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ إِذَآ أَخْرَجَ يَدَهُۥ لَمْ يَكَدْ يَرَٮٰهَاۗ وَمَن لَّمْ يَجْعَلِ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ نُورًا فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن نُّورٍ 40
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلطَّيْرُ صَـٰٓفَّـٰتٍۖ كُلٌّ قَدْ عَلِمَ صَلَاتَهُۥ وَتَسْبِيحَهُۥۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ 41
وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِۖ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ 42
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُزْجِى سَحَابًا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَهُۥ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُۥ رُكَامًا فَتَرَى ٱلْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَـٰلِهِۦ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن جِبَالٍ فِيهَا مِنۢ بَرَدٍ فَيُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَصْرِفُهُۥ عَن مَّن يَشَآءُۖ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِۦ يَذْهَبُ بِٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ 43
رِجَالٌۭrijālunMen لَّاlānotتُلْهِيهِمْtul'hīhimdistracts themتِجَـٰرَةٌۭtijāratuntradeوَلَاwalāand notبَيْعٌbayʿunsaleعَنʿanfromذِكْرِdhik'ri(the) remembrance of Allahٱللَّهِl-lahi(the) remembrance of Allahوَإِقَامِwa-iqāmiand (from) establishingٱلصَّلَوٰةِl-ṣalatithe prayerوَإِيتَآءِwaītāiand givingٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۙl-zakatizakahيَخَافُونَyakhāfūnaThey fearيَوْمًۭاyawmana Dayتَتَقَلَّبُtataqallabuwill turn aboutفِيهِfīhithereinٱلْقُلُوبُl-qulūbuthe heartsوَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُwal-abṣāruand the eyes
24:37
لِيَجْزِيَهُمُliyajziyahumuThat Allah may reward themٱللَّهُl-lahuThat Allah may reward themأَحْسَنَaḥsana(with the) bestمَاmā(of) whatعَمِلُوا۟ʿamilūthey didوَيَزِيدَهُمwayazīdahumand increase themمِّنminfromفَضْلِهِۦ ۗfaḍlihiHis Bountyوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd AllahيَرْزُقُyarzuquprovidesمَنmanwhomيَشَآءُyashāuHe willsبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutحِسَابٍۢḥisābinmeasure
24:38
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaBut those whoكَفَرُوٓا۟kafarūdisbelieveأَعْمَـٰلُهُمْaʿmāluhumtheir deedsكَسَرَابٍۭkasarābin(are) like a mirageبِقِيعَةٍۢbiqīʿatinin a lowlandيَحْسَبُهُyaḥsabuhuthinks itٱلظَّمْـَٔانُl-ẓamānuthe thirsty oneمَآءًmāan(to be) waterحَتَّىٰٓḥattāuntilإِذَاidhāwhenجَآءَهُۥjāahuhe comes to itلَمْlamnotيَجِدْهُyajid'huhe finds itشَيْـًۭٔاshayan(to be) anythingوَوَجَدَwawajadabut he findsٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahعِندَهُۥʿindahubefore himفَوَفَّىٰهُfawaffāhuHe will pay him in fullحِسَابَهُۥ ۗḥisābahuhis dueوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahسَرِيعُsarīʿu(is) swiftٱلْحِسَابِl-ḥisābi(in) the account
24:39
أَوْawOrكَظُلُمَـٰتٍۢkaẓulumātin(is) like (the) darkness[es]فِىfīinبَحْرٍۢbaḥrina seaلُّجِّىٍّۢlujjiyyindeepيَغْشَىٰهُyaghshāhucovers itمَوْجٌۭmawjuna waveمِّنminon itفَوْقِهِۦfawqihion itمَوْجٌۭmawjuna waveمِّنminon itفَوْقِهِۦfawqihion itسَحَابٌۭ ۚsaḥābuna cloudظُلُمَـٰتٌۢẓulumātundarkness[es]بَعْضُهَاbaʿḍuhāsome of itفَوْقَfawqaonبَعْضٍbaʿḍinothersإِذَآidhāWhenأَخْرَجَakhrajahe puts outيَدَهُۥyadahuhis handلَمْlamhardlyيَكَدْyakadhardlyيَرَىٰهَا ۗyarāhāhe (can) see itوَمَنwamanAnd (for) whomلَّمْlamnotيَجْعَلِyajʿaliAllah (has) madeٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah (has) madeلَهُۥlahufor himنُورًۭاnūrana lightفَمَاfamāthen notلَهُۥlahufor himمِنmin(is) anyنُّورٍnūrinlight
24:40
أَلَمْalamDo notتَرَtarayou seeأَنَّannathatٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah يُسَبِّحُyusabbiḥuglorifyلَهُۥlahuHimمَنmanwhoeverفِىfī(is) inٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthوَٱلطَّيْرُwal-ṭayruand the birdsصَـٰٓفَّـٰتٍۢ ۖṣāffātin(with) wings outspreadكُلٌّۭkullunEach oneقَدْqadverilyعَلِمَʿalimaknowsصَلَاتَهُۥṣalātahuits prayerوَتَسْبِيحَهُۥ ۗwatasbīḥahuand its glorificationوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَلِيمٌۢʿalīmun(is) All-Knowerبِمَاbimāof whatيَفْعَلُونَyafʿalūnathey do
24:41
وَلِلَّهِwalillahiAnd to Allah (belongs)مُلْكُmul'ku(the) dominionٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖwal-arḍiand the earthوَإِلَىwa-ilāAnd toٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru(is) the destination
24:42
أَلَمْalamDo notتَرَtarayou seeأَنَّannathatٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahيُزْجِىyuz'jīdrivesسَحَابًۭاsaḥābancloudsثُمَّthummathenيُؤَلِّفُyu-allifujoinsبَيْنَهُۥbaynahubetween themثُمَّthummathenيَجْعَلُهُۥyajʿaluhumakes themرُكَامًۭاrukāman(into) a massفَتَرَىfatarāthen you seeٱلْوَدْقَl-wadqathe rainيَخْرُجُyakhrujucome forthمِنْminfromخِلَـٰلِهِۦkhilālihitheir midstوَيُنَزِّلُwayunazziluAnd He sends downمِنَminafromٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi(the) skyمِنmin[from]جِبَالٍۢjibālinmountainsفِيهَاfīhāwithin itمِنۢmin[of]بَرَدٍۢbaradin(is) hailفَيُصِيبُfayuṣībuand He strikesبِهِۦbihiwith itمَنmanwhomيَشَآءُyashāuHe willsوَيَصْرِفُهُۥwayaṣrifuhuand averts itعَنʿanfromمَّنmanwhomيَشَآءُ ۖyashāuHe willsيَكَادُyakāduNearlyسَنَاsanā(the) flashبَرْقِهِۦbarqihi(of) its lightingيَذْهَبُyadhhabutakes awayبِٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِbil-abṣārithe sight
24:43
