أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَـٰتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُواْۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيرٌ 39
ٱلَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُواْ مِن دِيَـٰرِهِم بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ إِلَّآ أَن يَقُولُواْ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُۗ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لَّهُدِّمَتْ صَوَٲمِعُ وَبِيَعٌ وَصَلَوَٲتٌ وَمَسَـٰجِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ كَثِيرًاۗ وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُۥٓۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌ 40
ٱلَّذِينَ إِن مَّكَّنَّـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٲةَ وَءَاتَوُاْ ٱلزَّكَوٲةَ وَأَمَرُواْ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْاْ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ 41
وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُودُ 42
وَقَوْمُ إِبْرَٲهِيمَ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ 43
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ مَدْيَنَۖ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ 44
فَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ فَهِىَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَبِئْرٍ مُّعَطَّلَةٍ وَقَصْرٍ مَّشِيدٍ 45
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُواْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ ءَاذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَاۖ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ وَلَـٰكِن تَعْمَى ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلَّتِى فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ 46
أُذِنَudhinaPermission is givenلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnato those whoيُقَـٰتَلُونَyuqātalūnaare being foughtبِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahumbecause theyظُلِمُوا۟ ۚẓulimūwere wrongedوَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahعَلَىٰʿalāforنَصْرِهِمْnaṣrihimtheir victoryلَقَدِيرٌlaqadīrun(is) surely Able
22:39
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoأُخْرِجُوا۟ukh'rijūhave been evictedمِنminfromدِيَـٰرِهِمdiyārihimtheir homesبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutحَقٍّḥaqqinrightإِلَّآillāexceptأَنanthatيَقُولُوا۟yaqūlūthey saidرَبُّنَاrabbunāOur Lordٱللَّهُ ۗl-lahu(is) AllahوَلَوْلَاwalawlāAnd if notدَفْعُdafʿuAllah checksٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah checksٱلنَّاسَl-nāsathe peopleبَعْضَهُمbaʿḍahumsome of themبِبَعْضٍۢbibaʿḍinby othersلَّهُدِّمَتْlahuddimatsurely (would) have been demolishedصَوَٰمِعُṣawāmiʿumonasteriesوَبِيَعٌۭwabiyaʿunand churchesوَصَلَوَٰتٌۭwaṣalawātunand synagoguesوَمَسَـٰجِدُwamasājiduand masajid يُذْكَرُyudh'karuis mentionedفِيهَاfīhāin itٱسْمُus'mu(the) name of Allahٱللَّهِl-lahi(the) name of Allahكَثِيرًۭا ۗkathīranmuchوَلَيَنصُرَنَّwalayanṣurannaAnd surely Allah will helpٱللَّهُl-lahuAnd surely Allah will helpمَنman(those) whoيَنصُرُهُۥٓ ۗyanṣuruhuhelp HimإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَقَوِىٌّlaqawiyyun(is) surely All-StrongعَزِيزٌʿazīzunAll-Mighty
22:40
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoإِنinifمَّكَّنَّـٰهُمْmakkannāhumWe establish themفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe landأَقَامُوا۟aqāmūthey establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَl-ṣalatathe prayerوَءَاتَوُا۟waātawūand they giveٱلزَّكَوٰةَl-zakatazakahوَأَمَرُوا۟wa-amarūand they enjoinبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِbil-maʿrūfithe rightوَنَهَوْا۟wanahawand forbidعَنِʿanifromٱلْمُنكَرِ ۗl-munkarithe wrongوَلِلَّهِwalillahiAnd for Allahعَـٰقِبَةُʿāqibatu(is the) endٱلْأُمُورِl-umūri(of) the matters
22:41
وَإِنwa-inAnd ifيُكَذِّبُوكَyukadhibūkathey deny youفَقَدْfaqadso verilyكَذَّبَتْkadhabatdeniedقَبْلَهُمْqablahumbefore themقَوْمُqawmu(the) peopleنُوحٍۢnūḥin(of) Nuhوَعَادٌۭwaʿādunand Aadوَثَمُودُwathamūduand Thamud
22:42
وَقَوْمُwaqawmuAnd (the) peopleإِبْرَٰهِيمَib'rāhīma(of) Ibrahimوَقَوْمُwaqawmuand (the) peopleلُوطٍۢlūṭin(of) Lut
22:43
وَأَصْحَـٰبُwa-aṣḥābuAnd the inhabitantsمَدْيَنَ ۖmadyana(of) MadyanوَكُذِّبَwakudhibaAnd Musa was deniedمُوسَىٰmūsāAnd Musa was deniedفَأَمْلَيْتُfa-amlaytuso I granted respiteلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَlil'kāfirīnato the disbelieversثُمَّthummathenأَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖakhadhtuhumI seized themفَكَيْفَfakayfaand howكَانَkānawasنَكِيرِnakīriMy punishment
22:44
فَكَأَيِّنfaka-ayyinAnd how manyمِّنminofقَرْيَةٍqaryatina townshipأَهْلَكْنَـٰهَاahlaknāhāWe have destroyed itوَهِىَwahiyawhile itظَالِمَةٌۭẓālimatunwas doing wrongفَهِىَfahiyaso itخَاوِيَةٌkhāwiyatunfellعَلَىٰʿalāonعُرُوشِهَاʿurūshihāits roofsوَبِئْرٍۢwabi'rinand wellمُّعَطَّلَةٍۢmuʿaṭṭalatinabandonedوَقَصْرٍۢwaqaṣrinand castleمَّشِيدٍmashīdinlofty
22:45
أَفَلَمْafalamSo have notيَسِيرُوا۟yasīrūthey traveledفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe landفَتَكُونَfatakūnaand isلَهُمْlahumfor themقُلُوبٌۭqulūbunheartsيَعْقِلُونَyaʿqilūna(to) reasonبِهَآbihāwith itأَوْaworءَاذَانٌۭādhānunearsيَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūna(to) hearبِهَا ۖbihāwith itفَإِنَّهَاfa-innahāFor indeed, [it]لَاlānotتَعْمَىtaʿmā(are) blindedٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُl-abṣāruthe eyesوَلَـٰكِنwalākinbutتَعْمَىtaʿmā(are) blindedٱلْقُلُوبُl-qulūbuthe heartsٱلَّتِىallatīwhichفِىfī(are) inٱلصُّدُورِl-ṣudūrithe breasts
22:46
