وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلْعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥۚ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ 47
وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَىَّ ٱلْمَصِيرُ 48
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۟ لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ 49
فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ 50
وَٱلَّذِينَ سَعَوْاْ فِىٓ ءَايَـٰتِنَا مُعَـٰجِزِينَ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 51
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ وَلَا نَبِىٍّ إِلَّآ إِذَا تَمَنَّىٰٓ أَلْقَى ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ فِىٓ أُمْنِيَّتِهِۦ فَيَنسَخُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يُلْقِى ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ ثُمَّ يُحْكِمُ ٱللَّهُ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ 52
لِّيَجْعَلَ مَا يُلْقِى ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ وَٱلْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ لَفِى شِقَاقِۭ بَعِيدٍ 53
وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلْعِلْمَ أَنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَيُؤْمِنُواْ بِهِۦ فَتُخْبِتَ لَهُۥ قُلُوبُهُمْۗ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٲطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ 54
وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِى مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِيمٍ 55
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَwayastaʿjilūnakaAnd they ask you to hastenبِٱلْعَذَابِbil-ʿadhābithe punishmentوَلَنwalanBut never willيُخْلِفَyukh'lifafail/violateٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahوَعْدَهُۥ ۚwaʿdahu(in) His Promiseوَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedيَوْمًاyawmana dayعِندَʿindawithرَبِّكَrabbikayour Lordكَأَلْفِka-alfi(is) like a thousandسَنَةٍۢsanatinyear(s)مِّمَّاmimmāof whatتَعُدُّونَtaʿuddūnayou count
22:47
وَكَأَيِّنwaka-ayyinAnd how manyمِّنminofقَرْيَةٍqaryatina townshipأَمْلَيْتُamlaytuI gave respiteلَهَاlahāto itوَهِىَwahiyawhile itظَالِمَةٌۭẓālimatun(was) doing wrongثُمَّthummaThenأَخَذْتُهَاakhadhtuhāI seized itوَإِلَىَّwa-ilayyaand to Meٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru(is) the destination
22:48
قُلْqulSayيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO mankindٱلنَّاسُl-nāsuO mankindإِنَّمَآinnamāOnlyأَنَا۠anāI amلَكُمْlakumto youنَذِيرٌۭnadhīruna warnerمُّبِينٌۭmubīnunclear
22:49
فَٱلَّذِينَfa-alladhīnaSo those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieveوَعَمِلُوا۟waʿamilūand doٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥātirighteous deeds لَهُمlahumfor themمَّغْفِرَةٌۭmaghfiratun(is) forgivenessوَرِزْقٌۭwariz'qunand a provisionكَرِيمٌۭkarīmunnoble
22:50
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoسَعَوْا۟saʿawstroveفِىٓfīagainstءَايَـٰتِنَاāyātināOur Versesمُعَـٰجِزِينَmuʿājizīna(to) cause failureأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikathoseأَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(are the) companionsٱلْجَحِيمِl-jaḥīmi(of) the Hellfire
22:51
وَمَآwamāAnd notأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentمِنminbefore youقَبْلِكَqablikabefore youمِنminanyرَّسُولٍۢrasūlinMessengerوَلَاwalāand notنَبِىٍّnabiyyina Prophetإِلَّآillābutإِذَاidhāwhenتَمَنَّىٰٓtamannāhe recitedأَلْقَىalqāthrewٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānuthe Shaitaanفِىٓfīinأُمْنِيَّتِهِۦum'niyyatihihis recitationفَيَنسَخُfayansakhuBut Allah abolishesٱللَّهُl-lahuBut Allah abolishesمَاmāwhatيُلْقِىyul'qīthrowsٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānuthe Shaitaanثُمَّthummathenيُحْكِمُyuḥ'kimuAllah will establishٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah will establishءَايَـٰتِهِۦ ۗāyātihiHis Versesوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-KnowerحَكِيمٌۭḥakīmunAll-Wise
22:52
لِّيَجْعَلَliyajʿalaThat He may makeمَاmāwhatيُلْقِىyul'qīthe Shaitaan throwsٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānuthe Shaitaan throwsفِتْنَةًۭfit'natana trialلِّلَّذِينَlilladhīnafor thoseفِىfīinقُلُوبِهِمqulūbihimtheir heartsمَّرَضٌۭmaraḍun(is) a diseaseوَٱلْقَاسِيَةِwal-qāsiyatiand (are) hardenedقُلُوبُهُمْ ۗqulūbuhumtheir heartsوَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَl-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoersلَفِىlafī(are) surely, inشِقَاقٍۭshiqāqinschismبَعِيدٍۢbaʿīdinfar
22:53
وَلِيَعْلَمَwaliyaʿlamaAnd that may knowٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoأُوتُوا۟ūtūhave been givenٱلْعِلْمَl-ʿil'mathe knowledgeأَنَّهُannahuthat itٱلْحَقُّl-ḥaqu(is) the truthمِنminfromرَّبِّكَrabbikayour Lordفَيُؤْمِنُوا۟fayu'minūand they believeبِهِۦbihiin itفَتُخْبِتَfatukh'bitaand may humbly submitلَهُۥlahuto itقُلُوبُهُمْ ۗqulūbuhumtheir heartsوَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahلَهَادِlahādi(is) surely (the) Guideٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanūbelieveإِلَىٰilātoصِرَٰطٍۢṣirāṭina Pathمُّسْتَقِيمٍۢmus'taqīminStraight
22:54
وَلَاwalāAnd notيَزَالُyazāluwill ceaseٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelieveفِىfī(to be) inمِرْيَةٍۢmir'yatindoubtمِّنْهُmin'huof itحَتَّىٰḥattāuntilتَأْتِيَهُمُtatiyahumucomes to themٱلسَّاعَةُl-sāʿatuthe Hourبَغْتَةًbaghtatansuddenlyأَوْaworيَأْتِيَهُمْyatiyahumcomes to themعَذَابُʿadhābu(the) punishmentيَوْمٍyawmin(of) a Dayعَقِيمٍʿaqīminbarren
22:55
