وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ لَيْسَتِ ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ لَيْسَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ وَهُمْ يَتْلُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَۗ كَذَٲلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْۚ فَٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ 113
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَـٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ أَن يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُۥ وَسَعَىٰ فِى خَرَابِهَآۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَن يَدْخُلُوهَآ إِلَّا خَآئِفِينَۚ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ 114
وَلِلَّهِ ٱلْمَشْرِقُ وَٱلْمَغْرِبُۚ فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّواْ فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَٲسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ 115
وَقَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًاۗ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥۖ بَل لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِۖ كُلٌّ لَّهُۥ قَـٰنِتُونَ 116
بَدِيعُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِۖ وَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ 117
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ لَوْلَا يُكَلِّمُنَا ٱللَّهُ أَوْ تَأْتِينَآ ءَايَةٌۗ كَذَٲلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْۘ تَشَـٰبَهَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْۗ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا ٱلْأَيَـٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ 118
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًاۖ وَلَا تُسْــَٔلُ عَنْ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 119
وَقَالَتِwaqālatiAnd saidٱلْيَهُودُl-yahūduthe JewsلَيْسَتِlaysatiNotٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰl-naṣārāthe Christiansعَلَىٰʿalā(are) onشَىْءٍۢshayinanythingوَقَالَتِwaqālatiand saidٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰl-naṣārāthe ChristiansلَيْسَتِlaysatiNotٱلْيَهُودُl-yahūduthe Jewsعَلَىٰʿalā(are) onشَىْءٍۢshayinanythingوَهُمْwahumalthough theyيَتْلُونَyatlūnareciteٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۗl-kitābathe BookكَذَٰلِكَkadhālikaLike thatقَالَqālasaidٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknowمِثْلَmith'lasimilarقَوْلِهِمْ ۚqawlihimtheir sayingفَٱللَّهُfal-lahu[So] Allahيَحْكُمُyaḥkumuwill judgeبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween themيَوْمَyawma(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati(of) Resurrectionفِيمَاfīmāin whatكَانُوا۟kānūthey wereفِيهِfīhi[in it]يَخْتَلِفُونَyakhtalifūnadiffering
2:113
وَمَنْwamanAnd whoأَظْلَمُaẓlamu(is) more unjustمِمَّنmimmanthan (one) whoمَّنَعَmanaʿapreventsمَسَـٰجِدَmasājida(the) masajidٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahأَنantoيُذْكَرَyudh'karabe mentionedفِيهَاfīhāin themٱسْمُهُۥus'muhuHis nameوَسَعَىٰwasaʿāand strivesفِىfīforخَرَابِهَآ ۚkharābihātheir destructionأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThoseمَاmāNotكَانَkānait isلَهُمْlahumfor themأَنanthatيَدْخُلُوهَآyadkhulūhāthey enter themإِلَّاillāexceptخَآئِفِينَ ۚkhāifīna(like) those in fearلَهُمْlahumFor themفِىfīinٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yāthe worldخِزْىٌۭkhiz'yun(is) disgraceوَلَهُمْwalahumand for themفِىfīinٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِl-ākhiratithe Hereafterعَذَابٌʿadhābun(is) a punishmentعَظِيمٌۭʿaẓīmungreat
2:114
وَلِلَّهِwalillahiAnd for Allahٱلْمَشْرِقُl-mashriqu(is) the eastوَٱلْمَغْرِبُ ۚwal-maghribuand the westفَأَيْنَمَاfa-aynamāso whereverتُوَلُّوا۟tuwallūyou turnفَثَمَّfathamma[so] thereوَجْهُwajhu(is the) faceٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahi(of) AllahإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَٰسِعٌwāsiʿun(is) All-EncompassingعَلِيمٌۭʿalīmunAll-Knowing
2:115
وَقَالُوا۟waqālūAnd they saidٱتَّخَذَittakhadhahas takenٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahوَلَدًۭا ۗwaladana sonسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۖsub'ḥānahuGlory be to HimبَلbalNayلَّهُۥlahufor Himمَاmā(is) whatفِىfī(is) inٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖwal-arḍiand the earthكُلٌّۭkullunAllلَّهُۥlahuto Himقَـٰنِتُونَqānitūna(are) humbly obedient
2:116
بَدِيعُbadīʿu(The) Originatorٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖwal-arḍiand the earthوَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenقَضَىٰٓqaḍāHe decreesأَمْرًۭاamrana matterفَإِنَّمَاfa-innamā[so] onlyيَقُولُyaqūluHe saysلَهُۥlahuto itكُنkunBeفَيَكُونُfayakūnuand it becomes
2:117
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknowلَوْلَاlawlāWhy notيُكَلِّمُنَاyukallimunāspeaks to usٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahأَوْaworتَأْتِينَآtatīnācomes to usءَايَةٌۭ ۗāyatuna signكَذَٰلِكَkadhālikaLike thatقَالَqālasaidٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathoseمِنminfromقَبْلِهِمqablihimbefore themمِّثْلَmith'lasimilarقَوْلِهِمْ ۘqawlihimtheir sayingتَشَـٰبَهَتْtashābahatBecame alikeقُلُوبُهُمْ ۗqulūbuhumtheir heartsقَدْqadIndeedبَيَّنَّاbayyannāWe have made clearٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِl-āyātithe signsلِقَوْمٍۢliqawminfor peopleيُوقِنُونَyūqinūna(who) firmly believe
2:118
إِنَّآinnāIndeed Weأَرْسَلْنَـٰكَarsalnāka[We] have sent youبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiwith the truthبَشِيرًۭاbashīran(as) a bearer of good newsوَنَذِيرًۭا ۖwanadhīranand (as) a warnerوَلَاwalāAnd notتُسْـَٔلُtus'aluyou will be askedعَنْʿanaboutأَصْحَـٰبِaṣḥābi(the) companionsٱلْجَحِيمِl-jaḥīmi(of) the blazing Fire
2:119
