فَإِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْحَسَنَةُ قَالُواْ لَنَا هَـٰذِهِۦۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُواْ بِمُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓۗ أَلَآ إِنَّمَا طَـٰٓئِرُهُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ 131
وَقَالُواْ مَهْمَا تَأْتِنَا بِهِۦ مِنْ ءَايَةٍ لِّتَسْحَرَنَا بِهَا فَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ 132
فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلطُّوفَانَ وَٱلْجَرَادَ وَٱلْقُمَّلَ وَٱلضَّفَادِعَ وَٱلدَّمَ ءَايَـٰتٍ مُّفَصَّلَـٰتٍ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ 133
وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّجْزُ قَالُواْ يَـٰمُوسَى ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَۖ لَئِن كَشَفْتَ عَنَّا ٱلرِّجْزَ لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٲٓءِيلَ 134
فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلرِّجْزَ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ هُم بَـٰلِغُوهُ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ 135
فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِنَا وَكَانُواْ عَنْهَا غَـٰفِلِينَ 136
وَأَوْرَثْنَا ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُواْ يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ مَشَـٰرِقَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَغَـٰرِبَهَا ٱلَّتِى بَـٰرَكْنَا فِيهَاۖ وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٲٓءِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُواْۖ وَدَمَّرْنَا مَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ فِرْعَوْنُ وَقَوْمُهُۥ وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعْرِشُونَ 137
فَإِذَاfa-idhāBut whenجَآءَتْهُمُjāathumucame to themٱلْحَسَنَةُl-ḥasanatuthe goodقَالُوا۟qālūthey saidلَنَاlanāFor usهَـٰذِهِۦ ۖhādhihi(is) thisوَإِنwa-inAnd ifتُصِبْهُمْtuṣib'humafflicts themسَيِّئَةٌۭsayyi-atunbadيَطَّيَّرُوا۟yaṭṭayyarūthey ascribe evil omensبِمُوسَىٰbimūsāto Musaوَمَنwamanand whoمَّعَهُۥٓ ۗmaʿahu(were) with himأَلَآalāBeholdإِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyطَـٰٓئِرُهُمْṭāiruhumtheir evil omensعِندَʿinda(are) withٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahوَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinnabutأَكْثَرَهُمْaktharahummost of themلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow
7:131
وَقَالُوا۟waqālūAnd they saidمَهْمَاmahmāWhateverتَأْتِنَاtatināyou bring usبِهِۦbihitherewithمِنْminofءَايَةٍۢāyatin(the) signلِّتَسْحَرَنَاlitasḥaranāso that you bewitch usبِهَاbihāwith itفَمَاfamāthen notنَحْنُnaḥnuweلَكَlaka(will be) in youبِمُؤْمِنِينَbimu'minīnabelievers
7:132
فَأَرْسَلْنَاfa-arsalnāSo We sentعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimuon themٱلطُّوفَانَl-ṭūfānathe floodوَٱلْجَرَادَwal-jarādaand the locustsوَٱلْقُمَّلَwal-qumalaand the liceوَٱلضَّفَادِعَwal-ḍafādiʿaand the frogsوَٱلدَّمَwal-damaand the bloodءَايَـٰتٍۢāyātin(as) signsمُّفَصَّلَـٰتٍۢmufaṣṣalātinmanifestفَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟fa-is'takbarūbut they showed arroganceوَكَانُوا۟wakānūand they wereقَوْمًۭاqawmana peopleمُّجْرِمِينَmuj'rimīnacriminal
7:133
وَلَمَّاwalammāAnd whenوَقَعَwaqaʿafellعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimuon themٱلرِّجْزُl-rij'zuthe punishmentقَالُوا۟qālūthey saidيَـٰمُوسَىyāmūsāO Musaٱدْعُud'ʿuInvokeلَنَاlanāfor usرَبَّكَrabbakayour Lordبِمَاbimāby whatعَهِدَʿahidaHe has promisedعِندَكَ ۖʿindakato youلَئِنla-inIfكَشَفْتَkashaftayou removeعَنَّاʿannāfrom usٱلرِّجْزَl-rij'zathe punishmentلَنُؤْمِنَنَّlanu'minannasurely, we will believeلَكَlaka[for] youوَلَنُرْسِلَنَّwalanur'silannaand surely, we will sendمَعَكَmaʿakawith youبَنِىٓbanī(the) Childrenإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla(of) Israel
7:134
فَلَمَّاfalammāBut whenكَشَفْنَاkashafnāWe removedعَنْهُمُʿanhumufrom themٱلرِّجْزَl-rij'zathe punishmentإِلَىٰٓilātillأَجَلٍajalina (fixed) termهُمhum(which) theyبَـٰلِغُوهُbālighūhuwere to reach [it]إِذَاidhāthenهُمْhumtheyيَنكُثُونَyankuthūnabroke (the word)
7:135
فَٱنتَقَمْنَاfa-intaqamnāSo We took retributionمِنْهُمْmin'humfrom themفَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْfa-aghraqnāhumand We drowned themفِىfīinٱلْيَمِّl-yamithe seaبِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahumbecause theyكَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūdeniedبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاbiāyātināOur Signsوَكَانُوا۟wakānūand they wereعَنْهَاʿanhāto themغَـٰفِلِينَghāfilīnaheedless
7:136
وَأَوْرَثْنَاwa-awrathnāAnd We made inheritorsٱلْقَوْمَl-qawmathe peopleٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَانُوا۟kānūwereيُسْتَضْعَفُونَyus'taḍʿafūnaconsidered weak مَشَـٰرِقَmashāriqa(the) eastern (parts)ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍi(of) the landوَمَغَـٰرِبَهَاwamaghāribahāand the western (parts) of itٱلَّتِىallatīwhichبَـٰرَكْنَاbāraknāWe blessedفِيهَا ۖfīhā[in it]وَتَمَّتْwatammatAnd was fulfilledكَلِمَتُkalimatu(the) wordرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lord ٱلْحُسْنَىٰl-ḥus'nāthe bestعَلَىٰʿalāforبَنِىٓbanī(the) Childrenإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla(of) Israelبِمَاbimābecauseصَبَرُوا۟ ۖṣabarūthey were patientوَدَمَّرْنَاwadammarnāAnd We destroyedمَاmāwhatكَانَkānaused toيَصْنَعُyaṣnaʿumakeفِرْعَوْنُfir'ʿawnuFiraunوَقَوْمُهُۥwaqawmuhuand his peopleوَمَاwamāand whatكَانُوا۟kānūthey used toيَعْرِشُونَyaʿrishūnaerect
7:137
