قَالَ ٱدْخُلُواْ فِىٓ أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ فِى ٱلنَّارِۖ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ أُمَّةٌ لَّعَنَتْ أُخْتَهَاۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا ٱدَّارَكُواْ فِيهَا جَمِيعًا قَالَتْ أُخْرَٮٰهُمْ لِأُولَـٰهُمْ رَبَّنَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَضَلُّونَا فَـَٔـاتِهِمْ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِۖ قَالَ لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تَعْلَمُونَ 38
وَقَالَتْ أُولَـٰهُمْ لِأُخْرَٮٰهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِن فَضْلٍ فَذُوقُواْ ٱلْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ 39
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِنَا وَٱسْتَكْبَرُواْ عَنْهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَٲبُ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَا يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ حَتَّىٰ يَلِجَ ٱلْجَمَلُ فِى سَمِّ ٱلْخِيَاطِۚ وَكَذَٲلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ 40
لَهُم مِّن جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِن فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍۚ وَكَذَٲلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ 41
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَآ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ 42
وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِى صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمُ ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُۖ وَقَالُواْ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى هَدَٮٰنَا لِهَـٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِىَ لَوْلَآ أَنْ هَدَٮٰنَا ٱللَّهُۖ لَقَدْ جَآءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِٱلْحَقِّۖ وَنُودُوٓاْ أَن تِلْكُمُ ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ 43
قَالَqālaHe (will) sayٱدْخُلُوا۟ud'khulūEnterفِىٓfīamongأُمَمٍۢumamin(the) nationsقَدْqad(who)خَلَتْkhalatpassed awayمِنminfromقَبْلِكُمqablikumbefore youمِّنَminaofٱلْجِنِّl-jinithe jinnوَٱلْإِنسِwal-insiand the menفِىfīinٱلنَّارِ ۖl-nārithe FireكُلَّمَاkullamāEvery timeدَخَلَتْdakhalatenteredأُمَّةٌۭummatuna nationلَّعَنَتْlaʿanatit cursedأُخْتَهَا ۖukh'tahāits sister (nation)حَتَّىٰٓḥattāuntilإِذَاidhāwhenٱدَّارَكُوا۟iddārakūthey had overtaken one anotherفِيهَاfīhāin itجَمِيعًۭاjamīʿanallقَالَتْqālat(will) sayأُخْرَىٰهُمْukh'rāhum(the) last of themلِأُولَىٰهُمْliūlāhumabout the first of themرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lordهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِhāulāitheseأَضَلُّونَاaḍallūnāmisled usفَـَٔاتِهِمْfaātihimso give themعَذَابًۭاʿadhābanpunishmentضِعْفًۭاḍiʿ'fandoubleمِّنَminaofٱلنَّارِ ۖl-nārithe FireقَالَqālaHe (will) sayلِكُلٍّۢlikullinFor eachضِعْفٌۭḍiʿ'fun(is) a doubleوَلَـٰكِنwalākin[and] butلَّاlānotتَعْلَمُونَtaʿlamūnayou know
7:38
وَقَالَتْwaqālatAnd (will) sayأُولَىٰهُمْūlāhum(the) first of themلِأُخْرَىٰهُمْli-ukh'rāhumto (the) last of themفَمَاfamāThen notكَانَkānaisلَكُمْlakumfor youعَلَيْنَاʿalaynāupon usمِنminanyفَضْلٍۢfaḍlinsuperiorityفَذُوقُوا۟fadhūqūso tasteٱلْعَذَابَl-ʿadhābathe punishmentبِمَاbimāfor whatكُنتُمْkuntumyou used toتَكْسِبُونَtaksibūnaearn
7:39
إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūdeniedبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاbiāyātināOur Versesوَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟wa-is'takbarūand (were) arrogantعَنْهَاʿanhātowards themلَاlā(will) notتُفَتَّحُtufattaḥube openedلَهُمْlahumfor themأَبْوَٰبُabwābu(the) doorsٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāi(of) the heavenوَلَاwalāand notيَدْخُلُونَyadkhulūnathey will enterٱلْجَنَّةَl-janataParadiseحَتَّىٰḥattāuntilيَلِجَyalijapassesٱلْجَمَلُl-jamaluthe camelفِىfīthroughسَمِّsammi(the) eyeٱلْخِيَاطِ ۚl-khiyāṭi(of) the needleوَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālikaAnd thusنَجْزِىnajzīWe recompenseٱلْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīnathe criminals
7:40
لَهُمlahumFor themمِّنminofجَهَنَّمَjahannama(the) Hellمِهَادٌۭmihādun(is) a bedوَمِنwaminand fromفَوْقِهِمْfawqihimover themغَوَاشٍۢ ۚghawāshincoveringsوَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālikaAnd thusنَجْزِىnajzīWe recompenseٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَl-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
7:41
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaBut those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieveوَعَمِلُوا۟waʿamilūand doٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥāti[the] righteous deedsلَاlānotنُكَلِّفُnukallifuWe burdenنَفْسًاnafsanany soulإِلَّاillāexceptوُسْعَهَآwus'ʿahā(to) its capacityأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThoseأَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(are the) companionsٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖl-janati(of) Paradiseهُمْhumtheyفِيهَاfīhāin itخَـٰلِدُونَkhālidūna(will) abide forever
7:42
وَنَزَعْنَاwanazaʿnāAnd We will removeمَاmāwhateverفِىfī(is) inصُدُورِهِمṣudūrihimtheir breastsمِّنْminofغِلٍّۢghillinmaliceتَجْرِىtajrīFlowsمِنminfromتَحْتِهِمُtaḥtihimuunderneath themٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۖl-anhāruthe riversوَقَالُوا۟waqālūAnd they will sayٱلْحَمْدُl-ḥamduAll the praiseلِلَّهِlillahi(is) for Allahٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One Whoهَدَىٰنَاhadānāguided usلِهَـٰذَاlihādhāto thisوَمَاwamāand notكُنَّاkunnāwe wereلِنَهْتَدِىَlinahtadiyato receive guidanceلَوْلَآlawlāif notأَنْan[that]هَدَىٰنَاhadānā(had) guided usٱللَّهُ ۖl-lahuAllahلَقَدْlaqadCertainlyجَآءَتْjāatcameرُسُلُrusuluMessengersرَبِّنَاrabbinā(of) our Lordبِٱلْحَقِّ ۖbil-ḥaqiwith the truthوَنُودُوٓا۟wanūdūAnd they will be addressedأَنan[that]تِلْكُمُtil'kumuThisٱلْجَنَّةُl-janatu(is) Paradiseأُورِثْتُمُوهَاūrith'tumūhāyou have been made to inherit itبِمَاbimāfor whatكُنتُمْkuntumyou used toتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnado
7:43
