قُلْ إِن كَانَتْ لَكُمُ ٱلدَّارُ ٱلْأَخِرَةُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَالِصَةً مِّن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُاْ ٱلْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ 94
وَلَن يَتَمَنَّوْهُ أَبَدَۢا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ 95
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَوٲةٍ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْۚ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ 96
قُلْ مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّجِبْرِيلَ فَإِنَّهُۥ نَزَّلَهُۥ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 97
مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّلَّهِ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَجِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَـٰلَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَدُوٌّ لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَ 98
وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ءَايَـٰتِۭ بَيِّنَـٰتٍۖ وَمَا يَكْفُرُ بِهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ 99
أَوَكُلَّمَا عَـٰهَدُواْ عَهْدًا نَّبَذَهُۥ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ 100
وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ كِتَـٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ 101
قُلْqulSayإِنinIf كَانَتْkānatisلَكُمُlakumufor youٱلدَّارُl-dāruthe homeٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُl-ākhiratu(of) the Hereafterعِندَʿindawithٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahخَالِصَةًۭkhāliṣatanexclusivelyمِّنminfromدُونِdūniexcludingٱلنَّاسِl-nāsithe mankindفَتَمَنَّوُا۟fatamannawūthen wishٱلْمَوْتَl-mawta(for) [the] deathإِنinifكُنتُمْkuntumyou areصَـٰدِقِينَṣādiqīnatruthful
2:94
وَلَنwalanAnd never (will)يَتَمَنَّوْهُyatamannawhuthey wish for itأَبَدًۢاabadaneverبِمَاbimābecauseقَدَّمَتْqaddamat(of what) sent aheadأَيْدِيهِمْ ۗaydīhimtheir handsوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَلِيمٌۢʿalīmun(is) All-Knowerبِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَbil-ẓālimīnaof the wrongdoers
2:95
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْwalatajidannahumAnd surely you will find themأَحْرَصَaḥraṣa(the) most greedyٱلنَّاسِl-nāsi(of) [the] mankindعَلَىٰʿalāforحَيَوٰةٍۢḥayatinlifeوَمِنَwaminaand (greedier) thanٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoأَشْرَكُوا۟ ۚashrakūassociate[d] partners (with Allah)يَوَدُّyawadduLovesأَحَدُهُمْaḥaduhum(each) one of themلَوْlawifيُعَمَّرُyuʿammaruhe could be granted a lifeأَلْفَalfa(of) a thousandسَنَةٍۢsanatinyear(s)وَمَاwamāBut notهُوَhuwaitبِمُزَحْزِحِهِۦbimuzaḥziḥihi(will) remove himمِنَminafromٱلْعَذَابِl-ʿadhābithe punishmentأَنanthatيُعَمَّرَ ۗyuʿammarahe should be granted lifeوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبَصِيرٌۢbaṣīrun(is) All-Seerبِمَاbimāof whatيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūnathey do
2:96
قُلْqulSayمَنmanWhoeverكَانَkānaisعَدُوًّۭاʿaduwwanan enemyلِّجِبْرِيلَlijib'rīlato Jibreel فَإِنَّهُۥfa-innahuthen indeed heنَزَّلَهُۥnazzalahubrought it downعَلَىٰʿalāonقَلْبِكَqalbikayour heartبِإِذْنِbi-idh'niby (the) permissionٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahمُصَدِّقًۭاmuṣaddiqanconfirmingلِّمَاlimāwhatبَيْنَbayna(was)يَدَيْهِyadayhibefore itوَهُدًۭىwahudanand a guidanceوَبُشْرَىٰwabush'rāand glad tiding(s)لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَlil'mu'minīnafor the believers
2:97
مَنmanWhoeverكَانَkānaisعَدُوًّۭاʿaduwwanan enemyلِّلَّهِlillahi(to) Allahوَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتِهِۦwamalāikatihiand His Angelsوَرُسُلِهِۦwarusulihiand His Messengersوَجِبْرِيلَwajib'rīlaand Jibreelوَمِيكَىٰلَwamīkālaand Meekaelفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahعَدُوٌّۭʿaduwwun(is) an enemyلِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَlil'kāfirīnato the disbelievers
2:98
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd indeedأَنزَلْنَآanzalnāWe revealedإِلَيْكَilaykato youءَايَـٰتٍۭāyātinVersesبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ ۖbayyinātinclearوَمَاwamāand notيَكْفُرُyakfurudisbelievesبِهَآbihāin themإِلَّاillāexceptٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَl-fāsiqūnathe defiantly disobedient
2:99
أَوَكُلَّمَاawakullamāAnd is (it not that) wheneverعَـٰهَدُوا۟ʿāhadūthey tookعَهْدًۭاʿahdana covenantنَّبَذَهُۥnabadhahuthrew it awayفَرِيقٌۭfarīquna partyمِّنْهُم ۚmin'humof themبَلْbalNayأَكْثَرُهُمْaktharuhummost of themلَاlā(do) notيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnabelieve
2:100
وَلَمَّاwalammāAnd whenجَآءَهُمْjāahumcame to themرَسُولٌۭrasūluna Messengerمِّنْmin(of)عِندِʿindifromٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahمُصَدِّقٌۭmuṣaddiqunconfirmingلِّمَاlimāwhatمَعَهُمْmaʿahum(was) with themنَبَذَnabadhathrew awayفَرِيقٌۭfarīquna partyمِّنَminaofٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoأُوتُوا۟ūtūwere givenٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe Bookكِتَـٰبَkitāba(the) Bookٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَرَآءَwarāabehindظُهُورِهِمْẓuhūrihimtheir backsكَأَنَّهُمْka-annahumas if theyلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow
2:101
