وَتَرَى ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ حَآفِّينَ مِنْ حَوْلِ ٱلْعَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْۖ وَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَقِيلَ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ 75
غافر
Al-Ghaafir · Surah 40
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
حمٓ 1
تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ 2
غَافِرِ ٱلذَّنۢبِ وَقَابِلِ ٱلتَّوْبِ شَدِيدِ ٱلْعِقَابِ ذِى ٱلطَّوْلِۖ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ 3
مَا يُجَـٰدِلُ فِىٓ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَلَا يَغْرُرْكَ تَقَلُّبُهُمْ فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ 4
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْۖ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةِۭ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُۖ وَجَـٰدَلُواْ بِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُواْ بِهِ ٱلْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ 5
وَكَذَٲلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ 6
ٱلَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُونَ ٱلْعَرْشَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَعِلْمًا فَٱغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 7
وَتَرَىwatarāAnd you will seeٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَl-malāikatathe Angelsحَآفِّينَḥāffīnasurroundingمِنْmin[from]حَوْلِḥawliaroundٱلْعَرْشِl-ʿarshithe Throneيُسَبِّحُونَyusabbiḥūnaglorifyingبِحَمْدِbiḥamdi(the) praiseرَبِّهِمْ ۖrabbihim(of) their LordوَقُضِىَwaquḍiyaAnd (will) be judgedبَيْنَهُمbaynahumbetween themبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiin truthوَقِيلَwaqīlaand it will be saidٱلْحَمْدُl-ḥamduAll praise beلِلَّهِlillahito Allahرَبِّrabbi(the) Lordٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَl-ʿālamīna(of) the worlds
39:75
حمٓhha-meemHa Meem
40:1
تَنزِيلُtanzīlu(The) revelationٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi(of) the Bookمِنَmina(is) fromٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahٱلْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzithe All-Mightyٱلْعَلِيمِl-ʿalīmithe All-Knower
40:2
غَافِرِghāfiri(The) Forgiverٱلذَّنۢبِl-dhanbi(of) the sinوَقَابِلِwaqābiliand (the) Acceptorٱلتَّوْبِl-tawbi(of) [the] repentanceشَدِيدِshadīdisevereٱلْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi(in) the punishmentذِىdhīOwner (of) the abundanceٱلطَّوْلِ ۖl-ṭawliOwner (of) the abundanceلَآlā(There is) noإِلَـٰهَilāhagodإِلَّاillāexceptهُوَ ۖhuwaHimإِلَيْهِilayhito Himٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru(is) the final return
40:3
مَاmāNotيُجَـٰدِلُyujādiludisputeفِىٓfīconcerningءَايَـٰتِāyāti(the) Versesٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahإِلَّاillāexceptٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelieveفَلَاfalāso (let) notيَغْرُرْكَyaghrur'kadeceive youتَقَلُّبُهُمْtaqallubuhumtheir movementفِىfīinٱلْبِلَـٰدِl-bilādithe cities
40:4
كَذَّبَتْkadhabatDeniedقَبْلَهُمْqablahumbefore themقَوْمُqawmu(the) peopleنُوحٍۢnūḥin(of) Nuhوَٱلْأَحْزَابُwal-aḥzābuand the factionsمِنۢminafter themبَعْدِهِمْ ۖbaʿdihimafter themوَهَمَّتْwahammatand plottedكُلُّkullueveryأُمَّةٍۭummatinnationبِرَسُولِهِمْbirasūlihimagainst their Messengerلِيَأْخُذُوهُ ۖliyakhudhūhuto seize himوَجَـٰدَلُوا۟wajādalūand they disputedبِٱلْبَـٰطِلِbil-bāṭiliby falsehoodلِيُدْحِضُوا۟liyud'ḥiḍūto refuteبِهِbihitherebyٱلْحَقَّl-ḥaqathe truthفَأَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖfa-akhadhtuhumSo I seized themفَكَيْفَfakayfaThen howكَانَkānawasعِقَابِʿiqābiMy penalty
40:5
وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālikaAnd thusحَقَّتْḥaqqathas been justifiedكَلِمَتُkalimatu(the) Wordرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordعَلَىʿalāagainstٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟kafarūdisbelievedأَنَّهُمْannahumthat theyأَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(are) companionsٱلنَّارِl-nāri(of) the Fire
40:6
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoيَحْمِلُونَyaḥmilūnabearٱلْعَرْشَl-ʿarshathe Throneوَمَنْwamanand whoحَوْلَهُۥḥawlahu(are) around itيُسَبِّحُونَyusabbiḥūnaglorifyبِحَمْدِbiḥamdi(the) praisesرَبِّهِمْrabbihim(of) their Lordوَيُؤْمِنُونَwayu'minūnaand believeبِهِۦbihiin Himوَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَwayastaghfirūnaand ask forgivenessلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnafor those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieveرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lordوَسِعْتَwasiʿ'taYou encompassكُلَّkullaallشَىْءٍۢshayinthingsرَّحْمَةًۭraḥmatan(by Your) Mercyوَعِلْمًۭاwaʿil'manand knowledgeفَٱغْفِرْfa-igh'firso forgiveلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnathose whoتَابُوا۟tābūrepentوَٱتَّبَعُوا۟wa-ittabaʿūand followسَبِيلَكَsabīlakaYour Wayوَقِهِمْwaqihimand save them (from)عَذَابَʿadhāba(the) punishmentٱلْجَحِيمِl-jaḥīmi(of) the Hellfire
40:7
