وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْبَحْرَانِ هَـٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ سَآئِغٌ شَرَابُهُۥ وَهَـٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌۖ وَمِن كُلٍّ تَأْكُلُونَ لَحْمًا طَرِيًّا وَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَ حِلْيَةً تَلْبَسُونَهَاۖ وَتَرَى ٱلْفُلْكَ فِيهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُواْ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ 12
يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۚ ذَٲلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِن قِطْمِيرٍ 13
إِن تَدْعُوهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُواْ دُعَآءَكُمْ وَلَوْ سَمِعُواْ مَا ٱسْتَجَابُواْ لَكُمْۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ يَكْفُرُونَ بِشِرْكِكُمْۚ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيرٍ 14
۞ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ أَنتُمُ ٱلْفُقَرَآءُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ 15
إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ 16
وَمَا ذَٲلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ بِعَزِيزٍ 17
وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰۚ وَإِن تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ إِلَىٰ حِمْلِهَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰٓۗ إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَأَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٲةَۚ وَمَن تَزَكَّىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَتَزَكَّىٰ لِنَفْسِهِۚۦ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ 18
وَمَاwamāAnd notيَسْتَوِىyastawīare alikeٱلْبَحْرَانِl-baḥrānithe two seasهَـٰذَاhādhāThisعَذْبٌۭʿadhbun(is) freshفُرَاتٌۭfurātunsweetسَآئِغٌۭsāighunpleasantشَرَابُهُۥsharābuhuits drinkوَهَـٰذَاwahādhāand thisمِلْحٌmil'ḥunsaltyأُجَاجٌۭ ۖujājun(and) bitterوَمِنwaminAnd fromكُلٍّۢkullineachتَأْكُلُونَtakulūnayou eatلَحْمًۭاlaḥmanmeatطَرِيًّۭاṭariyyanfreshوَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَwatastakhrijūnaand you extractحِلْيَةًۭḥil'yatanornamentsتَلْبَسُونَهَا ۖtalbasūnahāyou wear themوَتَرَىwatarāand you seeٱلْفُلْكَl-ful'kathe shipsفِيهِfīhiin itمَوَاخِرَmawākhiracleavingلِتَبْتَغُوا۟litabtaghūso that you may seekمِنminofفَضْلِهِۦfaḍlihiHis Bountyوَلَعَلَّكُمْwalaʿallakumand that you mayتَشْكُرُونَtashkurūnabe grateful
35:12
يُولِجُyūlijuHe causes to enterٱلَّيْلَal-laylathe nightفِىfīin (to)ٱلنَّهَارِl-nahārithe dayوَيُولِجُwayūlijuand He causes to enterٱلنَّهَارَl-nahārathe dayفِىfīin (to)ٱلَّيْلِal-laylithe nightوَسَخَّرَwasakharaand He has subjectedٱلشَّمْسَl-shamsathe sunوَٱلْقَمَرَwal-qamaraand the moonكُلٌّۭkulluneachيَجْرِىyajrīrunningلِأَجَلٍۢli-ajalinfor a termمُّسَمًّۭى ۚmusammanappointedذَٰلِكُمُdhālikumuThat (is)ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahرَبُّكُمْrabbukumyour Lordلَهُlahufor Himٱلْمُلْكُ ۚl-mul'ku(is) the Dominionوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whomتَدْعُونَtadʿūnayou invokeمِنminbesides Himدُونِهِۦdūnihibesides Himمَاmānotيَمْلِكُونَyamlikūnathey possessمِنminevenقِطْمِيرٍqiṭ'mīrin(as much as) the membrane of a date-seed
35:13
إِنinIfتَدْعُوهُمْtadʿūhumyou invoke themلَاlānotيَسْمَعُوا۟yasmaʿūthey hearدُعَآءَكُمْduʿāakumyour callوَلَوْwalawand ifسَمِعُوا۟samiʿūthey heardمَاmānotٱسْتَجَابُوا۟is'tajābūthey (would) respondلَكُمْ ۖlakumto youوَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd (on the) Dayٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati(of) the Resurrectionيَكْفُرُونَyakfurūnathey will denyبِشِرْكِكُمْ ۚbishir'kikumyour associationوَلَاwalāAnd noneيُنَبِّئُكَyunabbi-ukacan inform youمِثْلُmith'lulikeخَبِيرٍۢkhabīrin(the) All-Aware
35:14
۞ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāOٱلنَّاسُl-nāsumankindأَنتُمُantumuYouٱلْفُقَرَآءُl-fuqarāu(are) those in needإِلَىilāofٱللَّهِ ۖl-lahiAllahوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuwhile AllahهُوَhuwaHeٱلْغَنِىُّl-ghaniyu(is) Free of needٱلْحَمِيدُl-ḥamīduthe Praiseworthy
35:15
إِنinIfيَشَأْyashaHe willsيُذْهِبْكُمْyudh'hib'kumHe (can) do away with youوَيَأْتِwayatiand bringبِخَلْقٍۢbikhalqinin a creationجَدِيدٍۢjadīdinnew
35:16
وَمَاwamāAnd notذَٰلِكَdhālikathatعَلَىʿalā(is) onٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahبِعَزِيزٍۢbiʿazīzindifficult
35:17
وَلَاwalāAnd notتَزِرُtaziruwill bearوَازِرَةٌۭwāziratunbearer of burdensوِزْرَwiz'raburdenأُخْرَىٰ ۚukh'rā(of) anotherوَإِنwa-inAnd ifتَدْعُtadʿucallsمُثْقَلَةٌmuth'qalatuna heavily ladenإِلَىٰilātoحِمْلِهَاḥim'lihā(carry) its loadلَاlānotيُحْمَلْyuḥ'malwill be carriedمِنْهُmin'huof itشَىْءٌۭshayonanythingوَلَوْwalaweven ifكَانَkānahe beذَاdhānear of kinقُرْبَىٰٓ ۗqur'bānear of kinإِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyتُنذِرُtundhiruyou can warnٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيَخْشَوْنَyakhshawnafearرَبَّهُمrabbahumtheir Lord بِٱلْغَيْبِbil-ghaybiunseenوَأَقَامُوا۟wa-aqāmūand establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۚl-ṣalatathe prayerوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverتَزَكَّىٰtazakkāpurifies himselfفَإِنَّمَاfa-innamāthen onlyيَتَزَكَّىٰyatazakkāhe purifiesلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۚlinafsihifor his own selfوَإِلَىwa-ilāAnd toٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru(is) the destination
35:18
