وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ أَهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِيَّاكُمْ كَانُواْ يَعْبُدُونَ 40
قَالُواْ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِن دُونِهِمۖ بَلْ كَانُواْ يَعْبُدُونَ ٱلْجِنَّۖ أَكْثَرُهُم بِهِم مُّؤْمِنُونَ 41
فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يَمْلِكُ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ نَّفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا وَنَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ 42
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍ قَالُواْ مَا هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ أَن يَصُدَّكُمْ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ وَقَالُواْ مَا هَـٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفْكٌ مُّفْتَرًىۚ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ 43
وَمَآ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم مِّن كُتُبٍ يَدْرُسُونَهَاۖ وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ قَبْلَكَ مِن نَّذِيرٍ 44
وَكَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَمَا بَلَغُواْ مِعْشَارَ مَآ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ فَكَذَّبُواْ رُسُلِىۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ 45
۞ قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَعِظُكُم بِوَٲحِدَةٍۖ أَن تَقُومُواْ لِلَّهِ مَثْنَىٰ وَفُرَٲدَىٰ ثُمَّ تَتَفَكَّرُواْۚ مَا بِصَاحِبِكُم مِّن جِنَّةٍۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ لَّكُم بَيْنَ يَدَىْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ 46
قُلْ مَا سَأَلْتُكُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ فَهُوَ لَكُمْۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ 47
قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّى يَقْذِفُ بِٱلْحَقِّ عَلَّـٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ 48
وَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd (the) DayيَحْشُرُهُمْyaḥshuruhumHe will gather themجَمِيعًۭاjamīʿanallثُمَّthummathenيَقُولُyaqūluHe will sayلِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِlil'malāikatito the AngelsأَهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِahāulāiWere these youإِيَّاكُمْiyyākumWere these youكَانُوا۟kānūthey wereيَعْبُدُونَyaʿbudūnaworshipping
34:40
قَالُوا۟qālūThey will sayسُبْحَـٰنَكَsub'ḥānakaGlory be to YouأَنتَantaYouوَلِيُّنَاwaliyyunā(are) our Protectorمِنminnot themدُونِهِم ۖdūnihimnot themبَلْbalNayكَانُوا۟kānūthey usedيَعْبُدُونَyaʿbudūna(to) worshipٱلْجِنَّ ۖl-jinathe jinnأَكْثَرُهُمaktharuhummost of themبِهِمbihimin themمُّؤْمِنُونَmu'minūna(were) believers
34:41
فَٱلْيَوْمَfal-yawmaBut todayلَاlānotيَمْلِكُyamlikupossess powerبَعْضُكُمْbaʿḍukumsome of youلِبَعْضٍۢlibaʿḍinon othersنَّفْعًۭاnafʿanto benefitوَلَاwalāand notضَرًّۭاḍarranto harmوَنَقُولُwanaqūluand We will sayلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnato thoseظَلَمُوا۟ẓalamūwho wrongedذُوقُوا۟dhūqūTasteعَذَابَʿadhāba(the) punishmentٱلنَّارِl-nāri(of) the Fireٱلَّتِىallatīwhichكُنتُمkuntumyou usedبِهَاbihāto [it]تُكَذِّبُونَtukadhibūnadeny
34:42
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenتُتْلَىٰtut'lāare recitedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themءَايَـٰتُنَاāyātunāOur Versesبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢbayyinātinclearقَالُوا۟qālūthey sayمَاmāNotهَـٰذَآhādhā(is) thisإِلَّاillābutرَجُلٌۭrajuluna manيُرِيدُyurīduwho wishesأَنantoيَصُدَّكُمْyaṣuddakumhinder youعَمَّاʿammāfrom whatكَانَkānausedيَعْبُدُyaʿbudu(to) worshipءَابَآؤُكُمْābāukumyour forefathersوَقَالُوا۟waqālūAnd they sayمَاmāNotهَـٰذَآhādhā(is) thisإِلَّآillāexceptإِفْكٌۭif'kuna lieمُّفْتَرًۭى ۚmuf'taraninventedوَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelievedلِلْحَقِّlil'ḥaqqiabout the truthلَمَّاlammāwhenجَآءَهُمْjāahumit came to themإِنْinNotهَـٰذَآhādhā(is) thisإِلَّاillāexceptسِحْرٌۭsiḥ'runa magicمُّبِينٌۭmubīnunobvious
34:43
وَمَآwamāAnd notءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمātaynāhumWe (had) given themمِّنminanyكُتُبٍۢkutubinScripturesيَدْرُسُونَهَا ۖyadrusūnahāwhich they could studyوَمَآwamāand notأَرْسَلْنَآarsalnāWe sentإِلَيْهِمْilayhimto themقَبْلَكَqablakabefore youمِنminanyنَّذِيرٍۢnadhīrinwarner
34:44
وَكَذَّبَwakadhabaAnd deniedٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoمِنmin(were) before themقَبْلِهِمْqablihim(were) before themوَمَاwamāand notبَلَغُوا۟balaghūthey have attainedمِعْشَارَmiʿ'shāraa tenthمَآmā(of) whatءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْātaynāhumWe (had) given themفَكَذَّبُوا۟fakadhabūBut they deniedرُسُلِى ۖrusulīMy Messengersفَكَيْفَfakayfaso howكَانَkānawasنَكِيرِnakīriMy rejection
34:45
۞ قُلْqulSayإِنَّمَآinnamāOnlyأَعِظُكُمaʿiẓukumI advise youبِوَٰحِدَةٍ ۖbiwāḥidatinfor one (thing)أَنanthatتَقُومُوا۟taqūmūyou standلِلَّهِlillahifor Allahمَثْنَىٰmathnā(in) pairsوَفُرَٰدَىٰwafurādāand (as) individualsثُمَّthummathenتَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ ۚtatafakkarūreflectمَاmāNotبِصَاحِبِكُمbiṣāḥibikum(is in) your companionمِّنminanyجِنَّةٍ ۚjinnatinmadnessإِنْinNotهُوَhuwaheإِلَّاillā(is) exceptنَذِيرٌۭnadhīruna warnerلَّكُمlakumfor youبَيْنَbaynabeforeيَدَىْyadaybeforeعَذَابٍۢʿadhābina punishmentشَدِيدٍۢshadīdinsevere
34:46
قُلْqulSayمَاmāNotسَأَلْتُكُمsa-altukumI ask youمِّنْminforأَجْرٍۢajrinany paymentفَهُوَfahuwabut it (is)لَكُمْ ۖlakumfor youإِنْinNotأَجْرِىَajriya(is) my paymentإِلَّاillābutعَلَىʿalāfromٱللَّهِ ۖl-lahiAllahوَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heعَلَىٰʿalā(is) overكُلِّkulliallشَىْءٍۢshayinthingsشَهِيدٌۭshahīduna Witness
34:47
قُلْqulSayإِنَّinnaIndeedرَبِّىrabbīmy Lordيَقْذِفُyaqdhifuprojectsبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqithe truthعَلَّـٰمُʿallāmu(the) All-Knowerٱلْغُيُوبِl-ghuyūbi(of) the unseen
34:48
