أَلَمْ تَرَوْاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهُۥ ظَـٰهِرَةً وَبَاطِنَةًۗ وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَـٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَلَا هُدًى وَلَا كِتَـٰبٍ مُّنِيرٍ 20
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّبِعُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ قَالُواْ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ 21
۞ وَمَن يُسْلِمْ وَجْهَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ فَقَدِ ٱسْتَمْسَكَ بِٱلْعُرْوَةِ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰۗ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ 22
وَمَن كَفَرَ فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ كُفْرُهُۥٓۚ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوٓاْۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ 23
نُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلاً ثُمَّ نَضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ 24
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُۚ قُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ 25
لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ 26
وَلَوْ أَنَّمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن شَجَرَةٍ أَقْلَـٰمٌ وَٱلْبَحْرُ يَمُدُّهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ سَبْعَةُ أَبْحُرٍ مَّا نَفِدَتْ كَلِمَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ 27
مَّا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلَا بَعْثُكُمْ إِلَّا كَنَفْسٍ وَٲحِدَةٍۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعُۢ بَصِيرٌ 28
أَلَمْalamDo notتَرَوْا۟tarawyou seeأَنَّannathatٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahسَخَّرَsakharahas subjectedلَكُمlakumto youمَّاmāwhateverفِىfī(is) inٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَمَاwamāand whateverفِىfī(is) inٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthوَأَسْبَغَwa-asbaghaand amply bestowedعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumupon youنِعَمَهُۥniʿamahuHis Bountiesظَـٰهِرَةًۭẓāhiratanapparentوَبَاطِنَةًۭ ۗwabāṭinatanand hiddenوَمِنَwaminaBut ofٱلنَّاسِl-nāsithe peopleمَنman(is he) whoيُجَـٰدِلُyujādiludisputesفِىfīaboutٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutعِلْمٍۢʿil'minknowledgeوَلَاwalāand notهُدًۭىhudanguidanceوَلَاwalāand notكِتَـٰبٍۢkitābina bookمُّنِيرٍۢmunīrinenlightening
31:20
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenقِيلَqīlait is saidلَهُمُlahumuto themٱتَّبِعُوا۟ittabiʿūFollowمَآmāwhatأَنزَلَanzalaAllah (has) revealedٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah (has) revealedقَالُوا۟qālūthey sayبَلْbalNayنَتَّبِعُnattabiʿuwe will followمَاmāwhatوَجَدْنَاwajadnāwe foundعَلَيْهِʿalayhion itءَابَآءَنَآ ۚābāanāour forefathersأَوَلَوْawalawEven ifكَانَkānaShaitaan wasٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānuShaitaan wasيَدْعُوهُمْyadʿūhum(to) call themإِلَىٰilātoعَذَابِʿadhābi(the) punishmentٱلسَّعِيرِl-saʿīri(of) the Blaze
31:21
۞ وَمَنwamanAnd whoeverيُسْلِمْyus'limsubmitsوَجْهَهُۥٓwajhahuhis faceإِلَىilātoٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahوَهُوَwahuwawhile heمُحْسِنٌۭmuḥ'sinun(is) a good-doerفَقَدِfaqadithen indeedٱسْتَمْسَكَis'tamsakahe has graspedبِٱلْعُرْوَةِbil-ʿur'watithe handholdٱلْوُثْقَىٰ ۗl-wuth'qāthe most trustworthyوَإِلَىwa-ilāAnd toٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahعَـٰقِبَةُʿāqibatu(is the) endٱلْأُمُورِl-umūri(of) the matters
31:22
وَمَنwamanAnd whoeverكَفَرَkafaradisbelievesفَلَاfalālet notيَحْزُنكَyaḥzunkagrieve youكُفْرُهُۥٓ ۚkuf'ruhuhis disbeliefإِلَيْنَاilaynāTo Usمَرْجِعُهُمْmarjiʿuhum(is) their returnفَنُنَبِّئُهُمfanunabbi-uhumthen We will inform themبِمَاbimāof whatعَمِلُوٓا۟ ۚʿamilūthey didإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahعَلِيمٌۢʿalīmun(is) the All-Knowerبِذَاتِbidhātiof whatٱلصُّدُورِl-ṣudūri(is in) the breasts
31:23
نُمَتِّعُهُمْnumattiʿuhumWe grant them enjoymentقَلِيلًۭاqalīlan(for) a littleثُمَّthummathenنَضْطَرُّهُمْnaḍṭarruhumWe will force themإِلَىٰilātoعَذَابٍʿadhābina punishmentغَلِيظٍۢghalīẓinsevere
31:24
وَلَئِنwala-inAnd ifسَأَلْتَهُمsa-altahumyou ask themمَّنْmanWhoخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earthلَيَقُولُنَّlayaqūlunnaThey will surely sayٱللَّهُ ۚl-lahuAllahقُلِquliSayٱلْحَمْدُl-ḥamduAll praisesلِلَّهِ ۚlillahi(are) for AllahبَلْbalButأَكْثَرُهُمْaktharuhummost of themلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow
31:25
لِلَّهِlillahiTo Allah (belongs)مَاmāwhateverفِىfī(is) inٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚwal-arḍiand the earthإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahهُوَhuwaHeٱلْغَنِىُّl-ghaniyu(is) Free of needٱلْحَمِيدُl-ḥamīduthe Praiseworthy
31:26
وَلَوْwalawAnd ifأَنَّمَاannamāwhateverفِىfī(is) inٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthمِنminofشَجَرَةٍshajaratin(the) treesأَقْلَـٰمٌۭaqlāmun(were) pensوَٱلْبَحْرُwal-baḥruand the seaيَمُدُّهُۥyamudduhu(to) add to itمِنۢminafter itبَعْدِهِۦbaʿdihiafter itسَبْعَةُsabʿatusevenأَبْحُرٍۢabḥurinseasمَّاmānotنَفِدَتْnafidatwould be exhaustedكَلِمَـٰتُkalimātu(the) Wordsٱللَّهِ ۗl-lahi(of) AllahإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahعَزِيزٌʿazīzun(is) All-MightyحَكِيمٌۭḥakīmunAll-Wise
31:27
مَّاmāNotخَلْقُكُمْkhalqukum(is) your creationوَلَاwalāand notبَعْثُكُمْbaʿthukumyour resurrectionإِلَّاillābutكَنَفْسٍۢkanafsinas a soulوَٰحِدَةٍ ۗwāḥidatinsingleإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahسَمِيعٌۢsamīʿun(is) All-HearerبَصِيرٌbaṣīrunAll-Seer
31:28
