قَالَ يَـٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَـٰلِحٍۖ فَلَا تَسْــَٔلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۖ إِنِّىٓ أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَ 46
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْــَٔلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۖ وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِى وَتَرْحَمْنِىٓ أَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ 47
قِيلَ يَـٰنُوحُ ٱهْبِطْ بِسَلَـٰمٍ مِّنَّا وَبَرَكَـٰتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍ مِّمَّن مَّعَكَۚ وَأُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ 48
تِلْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهَآ إِلَيْكَۖ مَا كُنتَ تَعْلَمُهَآ أَنتَ وَلَا قَوْمُكَ مِن قَبْلِ هَـٰذَاۖ فَٱصْبِرْۖ إِنَّ ٱلْعَـٰقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ 49
وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًاۚ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓۖ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ 50
يَـٰقَوْمِ لَآ أَسْــَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًاۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِىٓۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ 51
وَيَـٰقَوْمِ ٱسْتَغْفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓاْ إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوْاْ مُجْرِمِينَ 52
قَالُواْ يَـٰهُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِىٓ ءَالِهَتِنَا عَن قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ 53
قَالَqālaHe saidيَـٰنُوحُyānūḥuO NuhإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, heلَيْسَlaysa(is) notمِنْminofأَهْلِكَ ۖahlikayour familyإِنَّهُۥinnahuindeed, [he]عَمَلٌʿamalun(his) deedغَيْرُghayru(is) other thanصَـٰلِحٍۢ ۖṣāliḥinrighteousفَلَاfalāso (do) notتَسْـَٔلْنِtasalniask Meمَاmā(about) whatلَيْسَlaysanotلَكَlakayou haveبِهِۦbihiof itعِلْمٌ ۖʿil'munany knowledgeإِنِّىٓinnīIndeed, Iأَعِظُكَaʿiẓukaadmonish youأَنanlestتَكُونَtakūnayou beمِنَminaamongٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَl-jāhilīnathe ignorant
11:46
قَالَqālaHe saidرَبِّrabbiO my LordإِنِّىٓinnīIndeed, Iأَعُوذُaʿūdhuseek refugeبِكَbikain YouأَنْanthatأَسْـَٔلَكَasalakaI (should) ask YouمَاmāwhatلَيْسَlaysanotلِىlīI haveبِهِۦbihiof itعِلْمٌۭ ۖʿil'munknowledgeوَإِلَّاwa-illāAnd unlessتَغْفِرْtaghfirYou forgiveلِىlīmeوَتَرْحَمْنِىٓwatarḥamnīand You have mercy on meأَكُنakunI will beمِّنَminaamongٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَl-khāsirīnathe losers
11:47
قِيلَqīlaIt was saidيَـٰنُوحُyānūḥuO Nuhٱهْبِطْih'biṭGo downبِسَلَـٰمٍۢbisalāminwith peaceمِّنَّاminnāfrom Usوَبَرَكَـٰتٍwabarakātinand blessingsعَلَيْكَʿalaykaon youوَعَلَىٰٓwaʿalāand onأُمَمٍۢumaminthe nationsمِّمَّنmimmanfrom thoseمَّعَكَ ۚmaʿakawith youوَأُمَمٌۭwa-umamunBut (to other) nationsسَنُمَتِّعُهُمْsanumattiʿuhumWe will grant enjoymentثُمَّthummathenيَمَسُّهُمyamassuhumwill touch themمِّنَّاminnāfrom Usعَذَابٌʿadhābuna punishmentأَلِيمٌۭalīmunpainful
11:48
تِلْكَtil'kaThisمِنْmin(is) fromأَنۢبَآءِanbāithe newsٱلْغَيْبِl-ghaybi(of) the unseenنُوحِيهَآnūḥīhā(which) We revealإِلَيْكَ ۖilaykato youمَاmāNotكُنتَkuntayou wereتَعْلَمُهَآtaʿlamuhāknowing itأَنتَantayouوَلَاwalāand notقَوْمُكَqawmukayour peopleمِنminfromقَبْلِqablibeforeهَـٰذَا ۖhādhāthisفَٱصْبِرْ ۖfa-iṣ'birSo be patientإِنَّinnaindeedٱلْعَـٰقِبَةَl-ʿāqibatathe endلِلْمُتَّقِينَlil'muttaqīna(is) for the God fearing
11:49
وَإِلَىٰwa-ilāAnd toعَادٍʿādinAadأَخَاهُمْakhāhum(We sent) their brotherهُودًۭا ۚhūdanHudقَالَqālaHe saidيَـٰقَوْمِyāqawmiO my peopleٱعْبُدُوا۟uʿ'budūWorshipٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahمَاmānotلَكُمlakum(is) for youمِّنْminanyإِلَـٰهٍilāhingodغَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖghayruhuother than HimإِنْinNotأَنتُمْantumyouإِلَّاillā(are) butمُفْتَرُونَmuf'tarūnainventors
11:50
يَـٰقَوْمِyāqawmiO my peopleلَآlāNotأَسْـَٔلُكُمْasalukumI ask youعَلَيْهِʿalayhifor itأَجْرًا ۖajranany rewardإِنْinNotأَجْرِىَajriya(is) my rewardإِلَّاillāexceptعَلَىʿalāfromٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One Whoفَطَرَنِىٓ ۚfaṭaranīcreated meأَفَلَاafalāThen will notتَعْقِلُونَtaʿqilūnayou use reason
11:51
وَيَـٰقَوْمِwayāqawmiAnd O my peopleٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟is'taghfirūAsk forgivenessرَبَّكُمْrabbakum(of) your Lordثُمَّthummathenتُوبُوٓا۟tūbūturn in repentanceإِلَيْهِilayhito Himيُرْسِلِyur'siliHe will sendٱلسَّمَآءَl-samāa(from) the sky (rain)عَلَيْكُمʿalaykumupon youمِّدْرَارًۭاmid'rāran(in) abundanceوَيَزِدْكُمْwayazid'kumand increase youقُوَّةًquwwatan(in) strengthإِلَىٰilā(added) toقُوَّتِكُمْquwwatikumyour strengthوَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَتَوَلَّوْا۟tatawallawturn awayمُجْرِمِينَmuj'rimīna(as) criminals
11:52
قَالُوا۟qālūThey saidيَـٰهُودُyāhūduO HudمَاmāYou have not brought usجِئْتَنَاji'tanāYou have not brought usبِبَيِّنَةٍۢbibayyinatinclear proofsوَمَاwamāand notنَحْنُnaḥnuweبِتَارِكِىٓbitārikī(will) leaveءَالِهَتِنَاālihatināour godsعَنʿanonقَوْلِكَqawlikayour sayingوَمَاwamāand notنَحْنُnaḥnuwe (are)لَكَlakain youبِمُؤْمِنِينَbimu'minīnabelievers
11:53
