وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَاتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍۙ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا ٱئْتِ بِقُرْءَانٍ غَيْرِ هَـٰذَآ أَوْ بَدِّلْهُۚ قُلْ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أُبَدِّلَهُۥ مِن تِلْقَآىِٕ نَفْسِىٓۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ 15
قُل لَّوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَلَوْتُهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَآ أَدْرَٮٰكُم بِهِۦۖ فَقَدْ لَبِثْتُ فِيكُمْ عُمُرًا مِّن قَبْلِهِۦٓۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ 16
فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ 17
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَـٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّــُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِۚ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ 18
وَمَا كَانَ ٱلنَّاسُ إِلَّآ أُمَّةً وَٲحِدَةً فَٱخْتَلَفُواْۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ 19
وَيَقُولُونَ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۖ فَقُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْغَيْبُ لِلَّهِ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْ إِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ 20
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenتُتْلَىٰtut'lāare recitedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themءَايَاتُنَاāyātunāOur Versesبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ ۙbayyinātin(as) clear proofsقَالَqālasaidٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَاlā(do) notيَرْجُونَyarjūnahopeلِقَآءَنَاliqāanā(for the) meeting (with) Usٱئْتِi'tiBring usبِقُرْءَانٍbiqur'ānina Quranغَيْرِghayriother (than)هَـٰذَآhādhāthisأَوْaworبَدِّلْهُ ۚbaddil'huchange itقُلْqulSayمَاmāNotيَكُونُyakūnu(it) isلِىٓlīfor meأَنْanthatأُبَدِّلَهُۥubaddilahuI change itمِنminofتِلْقَآئِtil'qāimy own accordنَفْسِىٓ ۖnafsīmy own accordإِنْinNotأَتَّبِعُattabiʿuI followإِلَّاillāexceptمَاmāwhatيُوحَىٰٓyūḥāis revealedإِلَىَّ ۖilayyato meإِنِّىٓinnīIndeed, Iأَخَافُakhāfu[I] fearإِنْinifعَصَيْتُʿaṣaytuI were to disobeyرَبِّىrabbīmy Lordعَذَابَʿadhāba(the) punishmentيَوْمٍyawmin(of) a DayعَظِيمٍۢʿaẓīminGreat
10:15
قُلqulSayلَّوْlawIfشَآءَshāa(had) willedٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahمَاmānotتَلَوْتُهُۥtalawtuhuI (would) have recited itعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumto youوَلَآwalāand notأَدْرَىٰكُمadrākumHe (would) have made it known to youبِهِۦ ۖbihiHe (would) have made it known to youفَقَدْfaqadVerilyلَبِثْتُlabith'tuI have stayedفِيكُمْfīkumamong youعُمُرًۭاʿumurana lifetimeمِّنminbefore itقَبْلِهِۦٓ ۚqablihibefore itأَفَلَاafalāThen will notتَعْقِلُونَtaʿqilūnayou use reason
10:16
فَمَنْfamanSo whoأَظْلَمُaẓlamu(is) more wrongمِمَّنِmimmanithan he whoٱفْتَرَىٰif'tarāinventsعَلَىʿalāagainstٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahكَذِبًاkadhibana lieأَوْaworكَذَّبَkadhabadeniesبِـَٔايَـٰتِهِۦٓ ۚbiāyātihiHis SignsإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeedلَاlānotيُفْلِحُyuf'liḥuwill succeedٱلْمُجْرِمُونَl-muj'rimūnathe criminals
10:17
وَيَعْبُدُونَwayaʿbudūnaAnd they worshipمِنminfromدُونِdūniother thanٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahمَاmāthat (which)لَاlā(does) notيَضُرُّهُمْyaḍurruhumharm themوَلَاwalāand notيَنفَعُهُمْyanfaʿuhumbenefit themوَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaand they sayهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِhāulāiTheseشُفَعَـٰٓؤُنَاshufaʿāunā(are) our intercessorsعِندَʿindawithٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahiAllahقُلْqulSayأَتُنَبِّـُٔونَatunabbiūnaDo you informٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahبِمَاbimāof whatلَاlānotيَعْلَمُyaʿlamuhe knowsفِىfīinٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَلَاwalāand notفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِ ۚl-arḍithe earthسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥsub'ḥānahuGlorified is Heوَتَعَـٰلَىٰwataʿālāand Exaltedعَمَّاʿammāabove whatيُشْرِكُونَyush'rikūnathey associate (with Him)
10:18
وَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānawasٱلنَّاسُl-nāsuthe mankindإِلَّآillābutأُمَّةًۭummatana communityوَٰحِدَةًۭwāḥidatanoneفَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ ۚfa-ikh'talafūthen they differedوَلَوْلَاwalawlāAnd had (it) not beenكَلِمَةٌۭkalimatuna wordسَبَقَتْsabaqat(that) precededمِنminfromرَّبِّكَrabbikayour Lordلَقُضِىَlaquḍiyasurely, it (would) have been judgedبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween themفِيمَاfīmāconcerning whatفِيهِfīhi[therein]يَخْتَلِفُونَyakhtalifūnathey differ
10:19
وَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaAnd they sayلَوْلَآlawlāWhy notأُنزِلَunzilais sent downعَلَيْهِʿalayhito himءَايَةٌۭāyatuna Signمِّنminfromرَّبِّهِۦ ۖrabbihihis LordفَقُلْfaqulSo sayإِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyٱلْغَيْبُl-ghaybuthe unseenلِلَّهِlillahi(is) for Allahفَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟fa-intaẓirūso waitإِنِّىinnīindeed, I amمَعَكُمmaʿakumwith youمِّنَminaamongٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَl-muntaẓirīnathe ones who wait
