۞ وَٱكْتُبْ لَنَا فِى هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدْنَآ إِلَيْكَۚ قَالَ عَذَابِىٓ أُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَنْ أَشَآءُۖ وَرَحْمَتِى وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍۚ فَسَأَكْتُبُهَا لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٲةَ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِـَٔـايَـٰتِنَا يُؤْمِنُونَ 156
ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلرَّسُولَ ٱلنَّبِىَّ ٱلْأُمِّىَّ ٱلَّذِى يَجِدُونَهُۥ مَكْتُوبًا عِندَهُمْ فِى ٱلتَّوْرَٮٰةِ وَٱلْإِنجِيلِ يَأْمُرُهُم بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَـٰهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْخَبَـٰٓئِثَ وَيَضَعُ عَنْهُمْ إِصْرَهُمْ وَٱلْأَغْلَـٰلَ ٱلَّتِى كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِمْۚ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ بِهِۦ وَعَزَّرُوهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلنُّورَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ مَعَهُۥٓۙ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ 157
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنِّى رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ جَمِيعًا ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِۖ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ فَـَٔـامِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ٱلنَّبِىِّ ٱلْأُمِّىِّ ٱلَّذِى يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦ وَٱتَّبِعُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ 158
وَمِن قَوْمِ مُوسَىٰٓ أُمَّةٌ يَهْدُونَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَبِهِۦ يَعْدِلُونَ 159
۞ وَٱكْتُبْwa-uk'tubAnd ordainلَنَاlanāfor usفِىfīinهَـٰذِهِhādhihithisٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā[the] worldحَسَنَةًۭḥasanatangoodوَفِىwafīand inٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِl-ākhiratithe HereafterإِنَّاinnāIndeed, weهُدْنَآhud'nāwe have turnedإِلَيْكَ ۚilaykato YouقَالَqālaHe saidعَذَابِىٓʿadhābīMy punishment أُصِيبُuṣībuI afflictبِهِۦbihiwith itمَنْmanwhomأَشَآءُ ۖashāuI willوَرَحْمَتِىwaraḥmatībut My Mercyوَسِعَتْwasiʿatencompassesكُلَّkullaeveryشَىْءٍۢ ۚshayinthingفَسَأَكْتُبُهَاfasa-aktubuhāSo I will ordain itلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnafor those whoيَتَّقُونَyattaqūna(are) righteousوَيُؤْتُونَwayu'tūnaand giveٱلزَّكَوٰةَl-zakatazakahوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand those whoهُمhum[they]بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاbiāyātināin Our Versesيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnathey believe
7:156
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoيَتَّبِعُونَyattabiʿūnafollowٱلرَّسُولَl-rasūlathe Messengerٱلنَّبِىَّl-nabiyathe Prophetٱلْأُمِّىَّl-umiyathe unletteredٱلَّذِىalladhīwhomيَجِدُونَهُۥyajidūnahuthey find himمَكْتُوبًاmaktūbanwrittenعِندَهُمْʿindahumwith themفِىfīinٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِl-tawrātithe Tauratوَٱلْإِنجِيلِwal-injīliand the InjeelيَأْمُرُهُمyamuruhumHe commands themبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِbil-maʿrūfito the rightوَيَنْهَىٰهُمْwayanhāhumand forbids themعَنِʿanifromٱلْمُنكَرِl-munkarithe wrongوَيُحِلُّwayuḥilluand he makes lawfulلَهُمُlahumufor themٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِl-ṭayibātithe pure thingsوَيُحَرِّمُwayuḥarrimuand makes unlawfulعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimufor themٱلْخَبَـٰٓئِثَl-khabāithathe impure thingsوَيَضَعُwayaḍaʿuand he relievesعَنْهُمْʿanhumfrom themإِصْرَهُمْiṣ'rahumtheir burdenوَٱلْأَغْلَـٰلَwal-aghlālaand the fettersٱلَّتِىallatīwhichكَانَتْkānatwereعَلَيْهِمْ ۚʿalayhimupon themفَٱلَّذِينَfa-alladhīnaSo those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieveبِهِۦbihiin himوَعَزَّرُوهُwaʿazzarūhuand honor himوَنَصَرُوهُwanaṣarūhuand help himوَٱتَّبَعُوا۟wa-ittabaʿūand followٱلنُّورَl-nūrathe lightٱلَّذِىٓalladhīwhichأُنزِلَunzilahas been sent downمَعَهُۥٓ ۙmaʿahuwith him أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThose (are)هُمُhumu[they]ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَl-muf'liḥūnathe successful ones
7:157
قُلْqulSayيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāOٱلنَّاسُl-nāsumankindإِنِّىinnīIndeed I amرَسُولُrasūlu(the) Messengerٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahإِلَيْكُمْilaykumto youجَمِيعًاjamīʿanallٱلَّذِىalladhīthe Oneلَهُۥlahufor Whomمُلْكُmul'ku(is the) dominionٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖwal-arḍiand the earthلَآlā(There is) noإِلَـٰهَilāhagodإِلَّاillāexceptهُوَhuwaHimيُحْىِۦyuḥ'yīHe gives lifeوَيُمِيتُ ۖwayumītuand causes deathفَـَٔامِنُوا۟faāminūSo believeبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiin Allahوَرَسُولِهِwarasūlihiand His Messengerٱلنَّبِىِّl-nabiyithe Prophetٱلْأُمِّىِّl-umiyithe unletteredٱلَّذِىalladhīthe one whoيُؤْمِنُyu'minubelievesبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiin Allahوَكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦwakalimātihiand His Wordsوَٱتَّبِعُوهُwa-ittabiʿūhuand follow himلَعَلَّكُمْlaʿallakumso that you mayتَهْتَدُونَtahtadūna(be) guided
7:158
وَمِنwaminAnd amongقَوْمِqawmi(the) peopleمُوسَىٰٓmūsā(of) Musaأُمَّةٌۭummatun(is) a communityيَهْدُونَyahdūna(which) guidesبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiwith truthوَبِهِۦwabihiand by itيَعْدِلُونَyaʿdilūnaestablishes justice
