وَقَالُواْ هَـٰذِهِۦٓ أَنْعَـٰمٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ لَّا يَطْعَمُهَآ إِلَّا مَن نَّشَآءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَـٰمٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَـٰمٌ لَّا يَذْكُرُونَ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا ٱفْتِرَآءً عَلَيْهِۚ سَيَجْزِيهِم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ 138
وَقَالُواْ مَا فِى بُطُونِ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ خَالِصَةٌ لِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٲجِنَاۖ وَإِن يَكُن مَّيْتَةً فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَآءُۚ سَيَجْزِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ 139
قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَتَلُوٓاْ أَوْلَـٰدَهُمْ سَفَهَۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَحَرَّمُواْ مَا رَزَقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱفْتِرَآءً عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ قَدْ ضَلُّواْ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُهْتَدِينَ 140
۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ جَنَّـٰتٍ مَّعْرُوشَـٰتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَـٰتٍ وَٱلنَّخْلَ وَٱلزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُۥ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَـٰبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَـٰبِهٍۚ كُلُواْ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَءَاتُواْ حَقَّهُۥ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِۦۖ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوٓاْۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ 141
وَمِنَ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ حَمُولَةً وَفَرْشًاۚ كُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَٲتِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ 142
وَقَالُوا۟waqālūAnd they sayهَـٰذِهِۦٓhādhihiTheseأَنْعَـٰمٌۭanʿāmun(are) cattleوَحَرْثٌwaḥarthunand cropsحِجْرٌۭḥij'runforbiddenلَّاlāno (one)يَطْعَمُهَآyaṭʿamuhācan eat themإِلَّاillāexceptمَنmanwhomنَّشَآءُnashāuwe willبِزَعْمِهِمْbizaʿmihimby their claimوَأَنْعَـٰمٌwa-anʿāmunAnd cattleحُرِّمَتْḥurrimatforbiddenظُهُورُهَاẓuhūruhā(are) their backsوَأَنْعَـٰمٌۭwa-anʿāmunand cattleلَّاlānotيَذْكُرُونَyadhkurūnathey mentionٱسْمَis'ma(the) nameٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahعَلَيْهَاʿalayhāon itٱفْتِرَآءًif'tirāan(as) an inventionعَلَيْهِ ۚʿalayhiagainst HimسَيَجْزِيهِمsayajzīhimHe will recompense themبِمَاbimāfor whatكَانُوا۟kānūthey used toيَفْتَرُونَyaftarūnainvent
6:138
وَقَالُوا۟waqālūAnd they sayمَاmāWhatفِىfī(is) inبُطُونِbuṭūni(the) wombsهَـٰذِهِhādhihi(of) theseٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِl-anʿāmicattleخَالِصَةٌۭkhāliṣatun(is) exclusivelyلِّذُكُورِنَاlidhukūrināfor our malesوَمُحَرَّمٌwamuḥarramunand forbiddenعَلَىٰٓʿalāonأَزْوَٰجِنَا ۖazwājināour spousesوَإِنwa-inBut ifيَكُنyakunisمَّيْتَةًۭmaytatan(born) deadفَهُمْfahumthen they (all)فِيهِfīhiin itشُرَكَآءُ ۚshurakāu(are) partnersسَيَجْزِيهِمْsayajzīhimHe will recompense themوَصْفَهُمْ ۚwaṣfahum(for) their attributionإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, Heحَكِيمٌḥakīmun(is) All-WiseعَلِيمٌۭʿalīmunAll-Knowing
6:139
قَدْqadCertainlyخَسِرَkhasira(are) lostٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoقَتَلُوٓا۟qatalūkilledأَوْلَـٰدَهُمْawlādahumtheir childrenسَفَهًۢاsafahan(in) foolishnessبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutعِلْمٍۢʿil'minknowledgeوَحَرَّمُوا۟waḥarramūand forbidمَاmāwhatرَزَقَهُمُrazaqahumu(bas been) provided (to) themٱللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allah ٱفْتِرَآءًif'tirāaninventing (lies)عَلَىʿalāagainstٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahiAllahقَدْqadCertainlyضَلُّوا۟ḍallūthey have gone astrayوَمَاwamāand notكَانُوا۟kānūthey areمُهْتَدِينَmuh'tadīnaguided-ones
6:140
۞ وَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heٱلَّذِىٓalladhī(is) the One Whoأَنشَأَansha-aproducedجَنَّـٰتٍۢjannātingardensمَّعْرُوشَـٰتٍۢmaʿrūshātintrellisedوَغَيْرَwaghayraand other thanمَعْرُوشَـٰتٍۢmaʿrūshātintrellisedوَٱلنَّخْلَwal-nakhlaand the date-palmوَٱلزَّرْعَwal-zarʿaand the cropsمُخْتَلِفًاmukh'talifandiverseأُكُلُهُۥukuluhu(are) its tasteوَٱلزَّيْتُونَwal-zaytūnaand the olivesوَٱلرُّمَّانَwal-rumānaand the pomegranatesمُتَشَـٰبِهًۭاmutashābihansimilarوَغَيْرَwaghayraand other thanمُتَشَـٰبِهٍۢ ۚmutashābihinsimilarكُلُوا۟kulūEatمِنminofثَمَرِهِۦٓthamarihiits fruitإِذَآidhāwhenأَثْمَرَathmarait bears fruitوَءَاتُوا۟waātūand giveحَقَّهُۥḥaqqahuits dueيَوْمَyawma(on the) dayحَصَادِهِۦ ۖḥaṣādihi(of) its harvestوَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتُسْرِفُوٓا۟ ۚtus'rifū(be) extravagantإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, Heلَاlā(does) notيُحِبُّyuḥibbuloveٱلْمُسْرِفِينَl-mus'rifīnathe ones who are extravagant
6:141
وَمِنَwaminaAnd ofٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِl-anʿāmithe cattleحَمُولَةًۭḥamūlatan(are some for) burdenوَفَرْشًۭا ۚwafarshanand (some for) meatكُلُوا۟kulūEatمِمَّاmimmāof whatرَزَقَكُمُrazaqakumu(has been) provided (to) youٱللَّهُl-lahu(by) Allahوَلَاwalāand (do) notتَتَّبِعُوا۟tattabiʿūfollowخُطُوَٰتِkhuṭuwāti(the) footstepsٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۚl-shayṭāni(of) ShaitaanإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, heلَكُمْlakum(is) to youعَدُوٌّۭʿaduwwunan enemyمُّبِينٌۭmubīnunopen
