وَكَمْwakamAnd how manyأَهْلَكْنَاahlaknāWe destroyedقَبْلَهُمqablahumbefore themمِّنminofقَرْنٍqarnina generationهُمْhumtheyأَشَدُّashaddu(were) strongerمِنْهُمmin'humthan themبَطْشًۭاbaṭshan(in) powerفَنَقَّبُوا۟fanaqqabūso they exploredفِىfīthroughoutٱلْبِلَـٰدِl-bilādithe landsهَلْhalIs (there)مِنminanyمَّحِيصٍmaḥīṣinplace of escape
50:36
إِنَّinnaIndeedفِىfīinذَٰلِكَdhālikathatلَذِكْرَىٰladhik'rāsurely, is a reminderلِمَنlimanfor (one) whoكَانَkānais لَهُۥlahufor himقَلْبٌqalbuna heartأَوْaworأَلْقَىalqā(who) gives earٱلسَّمْعَl-samʿa(who) gives earوَهُوَwahuwawhile heشَهِيدٌۭshahīdun(is) a witness
50:37
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd certainlyخَلَقْنَاkhalaqnāWe createdٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earthوَمَاwamāand whateverبَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā(is) between both of themفِىfīinسِتَّةِsittatisixأَيَّامٍۢayyāminperiodsوَمَاwamāand (did) notمَسَّنَاmassanātouch Usمِنminanyلُّغُوبٍۢlughūbinfatigue
50:38
فَٱصْبِرْfa-iṣ'birSo be patientعَلَىٰʿalāoverمَاmāwhatيَقُولُونَyaqūlūnathey sayوَسَبِّحْwasabbiḥand glorifyبِحَمْدِbiḥamdi(the) praiseرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordقَبْلَqablabeforeطُلُوعِṭulūʿi(the) risingٱلشَّمْسِl-shamsi(of) the sunوَقَبْلَwaqablaand beforeٱلْغُرُوبِl-ghurūbithe setting
50:39
وَمِنَwaminaAnd ofٱلَّيْلِal-laylithe nightفَسَبِّحْهُfasabbiḥ'huglorify Himوَأَدْبَـٰرَwa-adbāraand afterٱلسُّجُودِl-sujūdithe prostration
50:40
وَٱسْتَمِعْwa-is'tamiʿAnd listenيَوْمَyawma(The) Dayيُنَادِyunādiwill callٱلْمُنَادِl-munādithe callerمِنminfromمَّكَانٍۢmakānina placeقَرِيبٍۢqarībinnear
50:41
يَوْمَyawma(The) Dayيَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūnathey will hearٱلصَّيْحَةَl-ṣayḥatathe Blastبِٱلْحَقِّ ۚbil-ḥaqiin truthذَٰلِكَdhālikaThatيَوْمُyawmu(is the) Dayٱلْخُرُوجِl-khurūji(of) coming forth
50:42
إِنَّاinnāIndeed, Weنَحْنُnaḥnu[We]نُحْىِۦnuḥ'yī[We] give lifeوَنُمِيتُwanumītuand [We] cause deathوَإِلَيْنَاwa-ilaynāand to Usٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru(is) the final return
50:43
يَوْمَyawma(The) Dayتَشَقَّقُtashaqqaquwill splitٱلْأَرْضُl-arḍuthe earthعَنْهُمْʿanhumfrom themسِرَاعًۭا ۚsirāʿanhurryingذَٰلِكَdhālikaThatحَشْرٌḥashrun(is) a gatheringعَلَيْنَاʿalaynāfor Usيَسِيرٌۭyasīruneasy
50:44
نَّحْنُnaḥnuWeأَعْلَمُaʿlamuknow bestبِمَاbimā[of] whatيَقُولُونَ ۖyaqūlūnathey sayوَمَآwamāand notأَنتَanta(are) youعَلَيْهِمʿalayhimover themبِجَبَّارٍۢ ۖbijabbārinthe one to compelفَذَكِّرْfadhakkirBut remindبِٱلْقُرْءَانِbil-qur'āniwith the QuranمَنmanwhoeverيَخَافُyakhāfufearsوَعِيدِwaʿīdiMy threat
50:45
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَـٰتِwal-dhāriyātiBy those scatteringذَرْوًۭاdharwandispersing
51:1
فَٱلْحَـٰمِلَـٰتِfal-ḥāmilātiAnd those carryingوِقْرًۭاwiq'rana load
51:2
فَٱلْجَـٰرِيَـٰتِfal-jāriyātiAnd those sailingيُسْرًۭاyus'ran(with) ease
51:3
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَـٰتِfal-muqasimātiAnd those distributingأَمْرًاamranCommand
51:4
إِنَّمَاinnamāIndeed, whatتُوعَدُونَtūʿadūnayou are promisedلَصَادِقٌۭlaṣādiqun(is) surely true
51:5
وَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedٱلدِّينَl-dīnathe Judgmentلَوَٰقِعٌۭlawāqiʿun(is) surely to occur
