وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ 109
كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِۗ وَلَوْ ءَامَنَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمۚ مِّنْهُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ 110
لَن يَضُرُّوكُمْ إِلَّآ أَذًىۖ وَإِن يُقَـٰتِلُوكُمْ يُوَلُّوكُمُ ٱلْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنصَرُونَ 111
ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلذِّلَّةُ أَيْنَ مَا ثُقِفُوٓاْ إِلَّا بِحَبْلٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَحَبْلٍ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَبَآءُو بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْمَسْكَنَةُۚ ذَٲلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ ٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّۚ ذَٲلِكَ بِمَا عَصَواْ وَّكَانُواْ يَعْتَدُونَ 112
۞ لَيْسُواْ سَوَآءًۗ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ أُمَّةٌ قَآئِمَةٌ يَتْلُونَ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ 113
يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٲتِ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ 114
وَمَا يَفْعَلُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَلَن يُكْفَرُوهُۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِٱلْمُتَّقِينَ 115
وَلِلَّهِwalillahiAnd to Allah (belongs)مَاmāwhateverفِىfī(is) inٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَمَاwamāand whateverفِىfī(is) inٱلْأَرْضِ ۚl-arḍithe earthوَإِلَىwa-ilāAnd toٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahتُرْجَعُtur'jaʿuwill be returnedٱلْأُمُورُl-umūruthe matters
3:109
كُنتُمْkuntumYou areخَيْرَkhayra(the) bestأُمَّةٍummatin(of) peopleأُخْرِجَتْukh'rijatraisedلِلنَّاسِlilnnāsifor the mankind تَأْمُرُونَtamurūnaenjoiningبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِbil-maʿrūfithe rightوَتَنْهَوْنَwatanhawnaand forbiddingعَنِʿani[from]ٱلْمُنكَرِl-munkarithe wrongوَتُؤْمِنُونَwatu'minūnaand believingبِٱللَّهِ ۗbil-lahiin AllahوَلَوْwalawAnd ifءَامَنَāmanabelievedأَهْلُahlu(the) Peopleٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi(of) the Bookلَكَانَlakānasurely would have beenخَيْرًۭاkhayrangoodلَّهُم ۚlahumfor themمِّنْهُمُmin'humuAmong themٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūna(are) [the] believersوَأَكْثَرُهُمُwa-aktharuhumubut most of themٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَl-fāsiqūna(are) defiantly disobedient
3:110
لَنlanNeverيَضُرُّوكُمْyaḍurrūkumwill they harm youإِلَّآillāexceptأَذًۭى ۖadhana hurtوَإِنwa-inAnd ifيُقَـٰتِلُوكُمْyuqātilūkumthey fight youيُوَلُّوكُمُyuwallūkumuthey will turn (towards) youٱلْأَدْبَارَl-adbārathe backsثُمَّthummathenلَاlānotيُنصَرُونَyunṣarūnathey will be helped
3:111
ضُرِبَتْḍuribatStruckعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimuon themٱلذِّلَّةُl-dhilatuthe humiliationأَيْنَaynawhereverمَاmāthatثُقِفُوٓا۟thuqifūthey are foundإِلَّاillāexceptبِحَبْلٍۢbiḥablinwith a ropeمِّنَminafromٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahوَحَبْلٍۢwaḥablinand a ropeمِّنَminafromٱلنَّاسِl-nāsithe peopleوَبَآءُوwabāūAnd they incurredبِغَضَبٍۢbighaḍabinwrathمِّنَminafromٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahوَضُرِبَتْwaḍuribatand struckعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimuon themٱلْمَسْكَنَةُ ۚl-maskanatuthe povertyذَٰلِكَdhālikaThatبِأَنَّهُمْbi-annahum(is) becauseكَانُوا۟kānūthey used toيَكْفُرُونَyakfurūnadisbelieveبِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyātiin (the) Versesٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَيَقْتُلُونَwayaqtulūnaand they killedٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَl-anbiyāathe Prophetsبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutحَقٍّۢ ۚḥaqqinrightذَٰلِكَdhālikaThatبِمَاbimā(is) becauseعَصَوا۟ʿaṣawthey disobeyedوَّكَانُوا۟wakānūand they used toيَعْتَدُونَyaʿtadūnatransgress
3:112
۞ لَيْسُوا۟laysūThey are notسَوَآءًۭ ۗsawāan(the) sameمِّنْminamongأَهْلِahli(the) Peopleٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi(of) the Bookأُمَّةٌۭummatun(is) a communityقَآئِمَةٌۭqāimatunstandingيَتْلُونَyatlūna(and) recitingءَايَـٰتِāyāti(the) Versesٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahءَانَآءَānāa(in the) hoursٱلَّيْلِal-layli(of) the nightوَهُمْwahumand theyيَسْجُدُونَyasjudūnaprostrate
3:113
يُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnaThey believeبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiin Allahوَٱلْيَوْمِwal-yawmiand the Dayٱلْـَٔاخِرِl-ākhirithe Lastوَيَأْمُرُونَwayamurūnaand they enjoinبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِbil-maʿrūfi[with] the rightوَيَنْهَوْنَwayanhawnaand forbidعَنِʿani[from]ٱلْمُنكَرِl-munkarithe wrongوَيُسَـٰرِعُونَwayusāriʿūnaand they hastenفِىfīinٱلْخَيْرَٰتِl-khayrātithe good deedsوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَwa-ulāikaAnd thoseمِنَmina(are) fromٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَl-ṣāliḥīnathe righteous
3:114
وَمَاwamāAnd whateverيَفْعَلُوا۟yafʿalūthey doمِنْminofخَيْرٍۢkhayrina goodفَلَنfalanthen neverيُكْفَرُوهُ ۗyuk'farūhuwill they be denied itوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَلِيمٌۢʿalīmun(is) All-Knowingبِٱلْمُتَّقِينَbil-mutaqīnaof the God-fearing
3:115
