۞ مَّثَلُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَۖ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُۖ أُكُلُهَا دَآئِمٌ وَظِلُّهَاۚ تِلْكَ عُقْبَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَواْۖ وَّعُقْبَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ٱلنَّارُ 35
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَۖ وَمِنَ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ مَن يُنكِرُ بَعْضَهُۥۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱللَّهَ وَلَآ أُشْرِكَ بِهِۦٓۚ إِلَيْهِ أَدْعُواْ وَإِلَيْهِ مَـَٔـابِ 36
وَكَذَٲلِكَ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّاۚ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَآءَهُم بَعْدَمَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا وَاقٍ 37
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلاً مِّن قَبْلِكَ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ أَزْوَٲجًا وَذُرِّيَّةًۚ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِـَٔـايَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِۗ لِكُلِّ أَجَلٍ كِتَابٌ 38
يَمْحُواْ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيُثْبِتُۖ وَعِندَهُۥٓ أُمُّ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ 39
وَإِن مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ وَعَلَيْنَا ٱلْحِسَابُ 40
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ أَنَّا نَأْتِى ٱلْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَاۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ لَا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ 41
وَقَدْ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْمَكْرُ جَمِيعًاۖ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلْكُفَّـٰرُ لِمَنْ عُقْبَى ٱلدَّارِ 42
۞ مَّثَلُmathaluThe exampleٱلْجَنَّةِl-janatiof Paradiseٱلَّتِىallatīwhichوُعِدَwuʿida(is) promisedٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۖl-mutaqūna(to) the righteousتَجْرِىtajrīflowsمِنminfromتَحْتِهَاtaḥtihāunderneath itٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۖl-anhāruthe riversأُكُلُهَاukuluhāIts foodدَآئِمٌۭdāimun(is) everlastingوَظِلُّهَا ۚwaẓilluhāand its shadeتِلْكَtil'kaThisعُقْبَىʿuq'bā(is the) endٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaof those whoٱتَّقَوا۟ ۖittaqaw(are) righteousوَّعُقْبَىwaʿuq'bāand (the) endٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīna(of) the disbelieversٱلنَّارُl-nāru(is) the Fire
13:35
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those (to) whomءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمُātaynāhumuWe have given themٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe Bookيَفْرَحُونَyafraḥūnarejoiceبِمَآbimāat whatأُنزِلَunzilahas been revealedإِلَيْكَ ۖilaykato youوَمِنَwaminabut amongٱلْأَحْزَابِl-aḥzābithe groupsمَنman(those) whoيُنكِرُyunkirudenyبَعْضَهُۥ ۚbaʿḍahua part of itقُلْqulSayإِنَّمَآinnamāOnlyأُمِرْتُumir'tuI have been commandedأَنْanthatأَعْبُدَaʿbudaI worshipٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَلَآwalāand notأُشْرِكَush'rikaI associate partnersبِهِۦٓ ۚbihiwith HimإِلَيْهِilayhiTo Himأَدْعُوا۟adʿūI callوَإِلَيْهِwa-ilayhiand to Himمَـَٔابِmaābi(is) my return
13:36
وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālikaAnd thusأَنزَلْنَـٰهُanzalnāhuWe have revealed itحُكْمًاḥuk'man(to be) a judgment of authorityعَرَبِيًّۭا ۚʿarabiyyan(in) Arabicوَلَئِنِwala-iniAnd ifٱتَّبَعْتَittabaʿtayou followأَهْوَآءَهُمahwāahumtheir desiresبَعْدَ مَاbaʿdamāafter whatجَآءَكَjāakacame to youمِنَminaofٱلْعِلْمِl-ʿil'mithe knowledgeمَاmānotلَكَlakafor youمِنَminaagainstٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahمِنminanyوَلِىٍّۢwaliyyinprotectorوَلَاwalāand notوَاقٍۢwāqindefender
13:37
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd certainlyأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentرُسُلًۭاrusulanMessengersمِّنminfromقَبْلِكَqablikabefore youوَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāand We madeلَهُمْlahumfor themأَزْوَٰجًۭاazwājanwivesوَذُرِّيَّةًۭ ۚwadhurriyyatanand offspringوَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānawasلِرَسُولٍlirasūlinfor a Messengerأَنanthatيَأْتِىَyatiyahe comesبِـَٔايَةٍbiāyatinwith a signإِلَّاillāexceptبِإِذْنِbi-idh'niby the leaveٱللَّهِ ۗl-lahi(of) AllahلِكُلِّlikulliFor everythingأَجَلٍۢajalin(is) a timeكِتَابٌۭkitābunprescribed
13:38
يَمْحُوا۟yamḥū(Is) eliminatedٱللَّهُl-lahu(by) AllahمَاmāwhatيَشَآءُyashāuHe willsوَيُثْبِتُ ۖwayuth'bituand confirmsوَعِندَهُۥٓwaʿindahuand with Himأُمُّummu(is) the Mother (of) the Bookٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi(is) the Mother (of) the Book
13:39
وَإِنwa-inAnd whetherمَّاmā(what)نُرِيَنَّكَnuriyannakaWe show youبَعْضَbaʿḍaa partٱلَّذِىalladhī(of) whatنَعِدُهُمْnaʿiduhumWe have promised themأَوْaworنَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَnatawaffayannakaWe cause you to dieفَإِنَّمَاfa-innamāso onlyعَلَيْكَʿalaykaon youٱلْبَلَـٰغُl-balāghu(is) the conveyanceوَعَلَيْنَاwaʿalaynāand on Usٱلْحِسَابُl-ḥisābu(is) the reckoning
13:40
أَوَلَمْawalamDid notيَرَوْا۟yarawthey seeأَنَّاannāthat Weنَأْتِىnatīcomeٱلْأَرْضَl-arḍa(to) the landنَنقُصُهَاnanquṣuhāreducing itمِنْminfromأَطْرَافِهَا ۚaṭrāfihāits bordersوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahيَحْكُمُyaḥkumujudgesلَاlā(there is) noمُعَقِّبَmuʿaqqibaadjusterلِحُكْمِهِۦ ۚliḥuk'mihi(of) His JudgmentوَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heسَرِيعُsarīʿu(is) Swiftٱلْحِسَابِl-ḥisābi(in) the reckoning
13:41
وَقَدْwaqadAnd certainlyمَكَرَmakaraplottedٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoمِنmin(were) fromقَبْلِهِمْqablihimbefore themفَلِلَّهِfalillahibut for Allahٱلْمَكْرُl-makru(is) the plotجَمِيعًۭا ۖjamīʿanallيَعْلَمُyaʿlamuHe knowsمَاmāwhatتَكْسِبُtaksibuearnsكُلُّkullueveryنَفْسٍۢ ۗnafsinsoulوَسَيَعْلَمُwasayaʿlamuand will knowٱلْكُفَّـٰرُl-kufāruthe disbelieversلِمَنْlimanfor whomعُقْبَىʿuq'bā(is) the finalٱلدَّارِl-dārithe home
13:42
