وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓاْ أَخْرِجُوهُم مِّن قَرْيَتِكُمْۖ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ 82
فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ كَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ 83
وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًاۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ 84
وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًاۗ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥۖ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْۖ فَأَوْفُواْ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ وَلَا تَبْخَسُواْ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تُفْسِدُواْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَـٰحِهَاۚ ذَٲلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ 85
وَلَا تَقْعُدُواْ بِكُلِّ صِرَٲطٍ تُوعِدُونَ وَتَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِهِۦ وَتَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًاۚ وَٱذْكُرُوٓاْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ قَلِيلاً فَكَثَّرَكُمْۖ وَٱنظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ 86
وَإِن كَانَ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنكُمْ ءَامَنُواْ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِۦ وَطَآئِفَةٌ لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُواْ فَٱصْبِرُواْ حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ ٱللَّهُ بَيْنَنَاۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ 87
وَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānawasجَوَابَjawāba(the) answerقَوْمِهِۦٓqawmihi(of) his peopleإِلَّآillāexceptأَنanthatقَالُوٓا۟qālūthey saidأَخْرِجُوهُمakhrijūhumDrive them outمِّنminofقَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖqaryatikumyour townإِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed, theyأُنَاسٌۭunāsun(are) peopleيَتَطَهَّرُونَyataṭahharūnawho keep themselves pure
7:82
فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُfa-anjaynāhuSo We saved himوَأَهْلَهُۥٓwa-ahlahuand his familyإِلَّاillāexceptٱمْرَأَتَهُۥim'ra-atahuhis wifeكَانَتْkānatshe wasمِنَminaofٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَl-ghābirīnathose who stayed behind
7:83
وَأَمْطَرْنَاwa-amṭarnāAnd We showeredعَلَيْهِمʿalayhimupon themمَّطَرًۭا ۖmaṭarana rainفَٱنظُرْfa-unẓurSo seeكَيْفَkayfahowكَانَkānawasعَـٰقِبَةُʿāqibatu(the) endٱلْمُجْرِمِينَl-muj'rimīna(of) the criminals
7:84
وَإِلَىٰwa-ilāAnd toمَدْيَنَmadyanaMadyanأَخَاهُمْakhāhumhis brotherشُعَيْبًۭا ۗshuʿaybanShuaibقَالَqālaHe saidيَـٰقَوْمِyāqawmiO my peopleٱعْبُدُوا۟uʿ'budūWorshipٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahمَاmānotلَكُمlakumfor youمِّنْminanyإِلَـٰهٍilāhingodغَيْرُهُۥ ۖghayruhuother than HimقَدْqadVerilyجَآءَتْكُمjāatkumhas came to youبَيِّنَةٌۭbayyinatuna clear proofمِّنminfromرَّبِّكُمْ ۖrabbikumyour Lordفَأَوْفُوا۟fa-awfūSo give fullٱلْكَيْلَl-kayla[the] measureوَٱلْمِيزَانَwal-mīzānaand the weightوَلَاwalāand (do) notتَبْخَسُوا۟tabkhasūdepriveٱلنَّاسَl-nāsa[the] peopleأَشْيَآءَهُمْashyāahumin their thingsوَلَاwalāand (do) notتُفْسِدُوا۟tuf'sidūcause corruptionفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthبَعْدَbaʿdaafterإِصْلَـٰحِهَا ۚiṣ'lāḥihāits reformationذَٰلِكُمْdhālikumThatخَيْرٌۭkhayrun(is) betterلَّكُمْlakumfor youإِنinifكُنتُمkuntumyou areمُّؤْمِنِينَmu'minīnabelievers
7:85
وَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَقْعُدُوا۟taqʿudūsitبِكُلِّbikullion everyصِرَٰطٍۢṣirāṭinpathتُوعِدُونَtūʿidūnathreateningوَتَصُدُّونَwataṣuddūnaand hinderingعَنʿanfromسَبِيلِsabīli(the) wayٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahمَنْman(those) whoءَامَنَāmanabelieveبِهِۦbihiin Himوَتَبْغُونَهَاwatabghūnahāand seeking (to make) itعِوَجًۭا ۚʿiwajancrookedوَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟wa-udh'kurūAnd rememberإِذْidhwhenكُنتُمْkuntumyou wereقَلِيلًۭاqalīlanfewفَكَثَّرَكُمْ ۖfakatharakumand He increased youوَٱنظُرُوا۟wa-unẓurūAnd seeكَيْفَkayfahowكَانَkānawasعَـٰقِبَةُʿāqibatu(the) endٱلْمُفْسِدِينَl-muf'sidīna(of) the corrupters
7:86
وَإِنwa-inAnd ifكَانَkāna(there) isطَآئِفَةٌۭṭāifatuna groupمِّنكُمْminkumamong youءَامَنُوا۟āmanū(who has) believedبِٱلَّذِىٓbi-alladhīin that whichأُرْسِلْتُur'sil'tuI have been sentبِهِۦbihiwith [it]وَطَآئِفَةٌۭwaṭāifatunand a groupلَّمْlamnotيُؤْمِنُوا۟yu'minūthey believeفَٱصْبِرُوا۟fa-iṣ'birūthen be patientحَتَّىٰḥattāuntilيَحْكُمَyaḥkumajudgesٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahبَيْنَنَا ۚbaynanābetween usوَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heخَيْرُkhayru(is the) Bestٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَl-ḥākimīna(of) [the] Judges
7:87
