[تهذيب الكمال #6837]
رَوَى عَن: معاوية بن أبي سفيان، وأبي هريرة، وأم حكيم حكيمة بنت أمية بن الأخنس بن عبيد وهي جدته (د) ، وقيل: أمه (ق) ، وقيل: خالته.
رَوَى عَنه: إسحاق بن رافع المدني أخو إسماعيل بن رافع، وسليمان بن سحيم على خلاف فيه، وعبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن يحنس (د) ، ومحمد بن إسحاق بن يسار (ق) ، وقيل بينهما سليمان ابن سحيم.
قال عبد الرحمن بن أبي حاتم (٢) : سألت أبي عنه فقال: شيخ من شيوخ أهل المدينة، ليس بالمشهور، قلت لقي أبا هريرة؟ قال: لا.
وذكره ابن حبان في كتاب "الثقات" (٣)
