رَوَى عَن: سويد بن غفلة (س) ، وعمر بن الخطاب. وكان معلما في زمانة.
رَوَى عَنه: إبراهيم النخعي (س) ، والأسود بن يزيد، وسويد ابن غفلة - وهما من أقرانه، وعاصم بن كليب.
قال أبو حاتم (٣) : كان معلما على عهد عمر.
وذكره ابن حبان في كتاب "الثقات" (٤) ، وقال: كان من المعلمين على عهد عمر.
وقال أبو الحسن الدارقطني: الأصبغ بن نباتة يروي عن
