رَوَى عَن: حماد بن سلمة (د عس) .
رَوَى عَنه: أحمد بن حنبل، وإسحاق بن منصور الكوسج (عس) ، وعلي بن مسلم الطوسي، ومحمد بن بشار بندار، ونصر ابن علي الجهضمي (د) .
قال أبو داود: مهنا أبو شبل ثقة.
وقال أبو العباس الثقفي، عن علي بن مسلم: حدثنا مهنا أبو سهل، وكان ثقة.
وقال أبو حاتم (٢) : مجهول.
