[تهذيب الكمال #5574]
رَوَى عَن: أخيه عبد الله بن كعب بن مالك (م ق) ، وأبيه كعب بن مالك.
رَوَى عَنه: محمد بن مسلم بن شهاب الزهري، والوليد بن كثير (م ق) .
قال أبو بكر بن منجويه (٢) : محمد بن كعب. أو معبد بن كعب ومعبد أصح (٣) .
روى له مسلم، وابن ماجه حديثا واحدا، وقد وقع لنا بعلو عنه.
أخبرنا به أحمد بن أبي الخير، قال: أنبأنا أبو الحسن
