رَوَى عَن: النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم (مد) مرسلا، وعن أبي هريرة (م ت س) ، وعائشة، وعن أمه عن عائشة.
رَوَى عَنه: ابنه حكيم بن محمد بن قيس بن مخرمة (سي) ، وعبد الله بن عبيد الله بن أبي مليكة (س) على خلاف فيه، وعبد الله بن كثير بن المطلب (م س) ، وعبد الملك بن جريج (مد) ، وعمر ابن عبد الرحمن بن محيصن (٢) السهمي (م ت س) ، ومحمد بن إسحاق بن يسار، ومحمد بن عجلان (م) .
قال أبو عبيد الآجري (٣) عن أبي داود: ثقة.
