رَوَى عَن: أبي وائل شقيق بن سلمة الأسدي (م ت) .
رَوَى عَنه: حفص بن غياث (م ت) ، وسفيان الثوري (ت) ، ومروان بن معاوية الفزاري، وأبو خالد الأحمر.
قال أبو بكر (٢) بن أبي خيثمة، عن يحيى بن معين: العلاء ابن خالد كوفي ليس به بأس.
وقال علي (٣) بن المديني، عن يحيى بن سعيد القطان: تركته
