رَوَى عَن: الحكم بن أبان العدني (د ت) ، وسعيد بن إياس الجريري، والوليد بن كريز (٢) البصري.
رَوَى عَنه: نعيم بن حماد المروزي، وأبو غسان يحيى بن كثير العنبري (د ت) .
قال عباس العنبري (٣) : حدثنا يحيى بن كثير العنبري، قال: حدثنا سلم بن جعفر، وكان ثقة.
وذكره ابن حبان في كتاب "الثقات" (٤) .
روى له أبو داود والترمذي.
