عبد الوهاب بن حريش الأعرابي أبو محمد، الملقب بـ أبي مسحل، من بني ربيعة، من عامر بن صعصعة: راوية غزير العلم باللغة، عارف بالنحو والقراآت. من أهل نجد. تعلم وأقام ببغداد وأكثر الأخذ عن الكسائي. واتصل بالحسن بن سهل وزير المأمون. وهو من شيوخ ثعلب.
