He is a gifted student of the Islamic world with him having mastered the Qur’an at the age of 14 and then continued his prodigal talent of specialisation in the discipline of classical Arabic, Islamic jurisprudence, Hadith (traditions of the Prophet ﷺ) and other Islamic sciences at the International Islamic Institute Of Colombo where he is currently employed as a professor.

His services are also taken as the Imam and Khateeb (preacher) of the largest Jumu’ah Masjid in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
