400">The late Sheikh Khaled Barakat was born in 1971 in Lebanon. He was one of the top Qari in the Aakar region. He graduated from Al-Azhar university with several certificates. He was the leader of prayers in the Grand Mosque of Tripoli.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400">In 2015, Khaled Barakat was invited to come to Australia, and he toured all around up until 2016. He led some Taraweeh prayers at the old Belal ibn Rabah Mosque (relocated) located in Newport, Melbourne, Australia. Barakat was invited also to Sydney where a visual can be seen of him reciting a religious song (Nasheed) about the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.</span>

<span style="font-weight: 400">Sheikh Khaled Barakat had been suffering from Cancer and sadly passed away on the 3rd of March 2020. His Janaza was held in a Mosque in Bebnin village, Lebanon. The Lebanese Mufti described him as a friend and a brother in Islam. He may have left this world, but his legacy is still alive and being followed
