, also spelled Hajaj Hindawi or Hajaj Al-Hindawi, is an Egyptian Quran reciter renowned for his mastery of the murattal style in the Hafs ‘an ‘Asim riwāyah. Born on January 12, 1976 in Bahramas, Imbaba, Giza Governorate, he began memorizing the Qur’an at age seven and completed it by the age of twelve. Hajjaj studied under prominent scholars including Hussein Abdu Yusuf, Sobhi Ahmed Abdel Aziz, his brother Eid Hindawi, and the notable Tajwīd scholar Abdul Aty Mahmoud Ta’ima.

After completing his studies at the Cairo Institute of Qur’anic Readings, he joined Egyptian Radio and Television in 2000, gaining widespread recognition including performing for President Hosni Mubarak in 1998 following his victory in the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf recitation competition. He has since traveled internationally—including to Malaysia, Iran, Canada, the UK, Indonesia, and Pakistan—for public recitations and Quranic events.
