rominent Quran reciter and Islamic scholar from Palestine, born in 1932 in Saffuriyya. He passed away on February 9, 2011, in Jordan.

He was known for his recitations, particularly in the Hafs ‘an Asim narration. Digital Qur’anic archives feature numerous recordings of his recitations, and he famously recorded 400 radio episodes of Quran recitation and interpretation for Jordanian Radio, marking the beginning of his extensive scholarly career. He was recognized as a master in the sciences of interpretation, linguistics, and rhetoric, beyond just recitation.

Fadl Hassan Abbas memorized the Holy Quran in his hometown by the age of ten and further memorized several scholarly texts. He pursued his higher education in Egypt, graduating from the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion at Al-Azhar University in 1952, and later obtaining a doctorate from Al-Azhar in 1972.
