ify also spelled Ali Al-Hudhaify or Ali Al-Hodaifi, is a highly distinguished Quran reciter and Imam from Saudi Arabia. Born in 1947 in the village of Al-Qarn Al-Mustaqeem in the Mecca Province, he grew up in a religious family with his father also being an Imam.

Sheikh Ali al-Huthaify is widely respected for his profound knowledge of the Quranic sciences and his unique, deep, and tranquil recitation style, which is instantly recognizable and has a powerful emotional impact on listeners. He holds certifications (Ijazat) in various Qira’at (recitation styles) of the Holy Quran, having studied under numerous prominent scholars of his time.

Among the various narrations he has mastered, he is particularly known for his recitation in the Qaloon ‘an Nafi’ narration. Qaloon ‘an Nafi’ is one of the ten authentic Qira’at, transmitted through Imam Qaloon from Imam Nafi’ al-Madani.
