known as Abdullah bin Mohammad al-Matroud, is a highly regarded Saudi Arabian Qari (Quran reciter) and Imam. Born in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia, in 1963, he is renowned for his captivating and clear recitation of the Holy Quran, characterized by his precise command of Tajwid (rules of recitation).

His journey with the Quran began at an early age, demonstrating a deep interest in the Holy Book. He dedicated himself to the study of Quranic sciences and the mastery of Tajwid, following the teachings of prominent sheikhs. He also graduated from the Sharia faculty of the Islamic University of Madinah, further solidifying his religious knowledge.

Abdullah Al Matrood serves as the Imam of Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Murshid Mosque in Diriyah and Prince Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Mosque. His recitations have gained immense popularity and are regularly broadcast on numerous television channels, radio stations, and online platforms across the Arab world and globally. Listeners
