The Sheikh has participated in several Qir’at competitions globally and has secured the first position in the South African National Qir’ah competition in 2005, the second position at the International Qir’ah competition in Malaysia in 2006, and 5th at the International competition in Iran in the same year.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Brown has been teaching the Qur’an for the past 20 years and specializes in Maqāmāt and Qasidah.
